1·2 months agoAs spawners of demons, me and my wife have frequently discussed how people not watching shows and movies targeted at children are missing a whole genre of awesome stuff!
Adventurer Time, Ducktales (new version), Avatar the last airbender, Kipo, She-Ra and the list goes on and on…
Edit: Lego movies, arguably Lego Batman is the best batman movie.
There is a ton of stuff and a lot of it has been made so that it is enjoyable for kids but all the subtle adult stuff snuck in is just chefs kiss 😅

If you get over the minor hurdle of understanding icelandic you will understand how relevant and funny this is.
Recently had to use a windows laptop for work. So weird to not be able to securely update all your packages but rather have some hacky IT tools that feel like malware scream out that they are updating some basic software on said laptop.
So surreal.

7·9 months agoYeah I wasn’t gonna over explain but the intended use here is not live streaming. I’d go for a mesh trickle request and wait for it to download to your local node type of thinking.

18·9 months agoRegrettably this stops me from forcing my archaic belief system on my children.
It seems to me that many responses in this thread lean towards oversimplification which in turn garners the most votes.
While these simpler responses contain a grain of truth and that the big picture viewed trough the lens of day to day news might seem elusive; if we look at the evidence it seems we are on the cusp of a demographic collapse in global economy dominated by geriatric capitalist superpowers that lean heavily towards techno feudalism.
Most signs point towards a quite unpleasant next 40 or so years.
