People severely underestimate how powerful story telling can be in business. A pitch deck with the right speaker can get you millions and millions of dollars, or someone like Elon Musk can tell stories about fully self-driving cars or living on Mars or building data centers in space and people are willing to invest without doing any due diligence whatsoever. Remember, past performance is not an indication of future gains.

Not when that job requires you to be either out in the heat or inside in a boiling hot attic. Maybe sometimes you’re in a climate controlled environment but mostly you’re working in a hot environment trying to get the HVAC working again.

I’m a bit older and much of my life was lived before the Internet. Social media has changed us all for the worse and you’ll do yourself well for staying off of it as much as you can. And yes, there is much more to life than what you’re aware of right now in your life.
