~Prom For Karlee~ A great story!

So my little brother Chase is such a good boy. This is a story that everyone needs to read.

If you thought chivalry was dead this story will change your mind. Thanks to two wonderful young men the horrors of cancer didn't ruin a special young girl's prom night.

16-year-old Shelley High School student Karlee Van Leuven was diagnosed with ovarian germ cell cancer last year.

Karlee's cancer is very aggressive, which means her chemo schedule can't change. She was at Madison Memorial for treatment Saturday night while the rest of her school went to prom.

Thanks to juniors Quade Foster and Chase Richins, Karlee had not one but two dates. The young men were determined to spend the evening with Karlee no matter where she was.

Once Madison Memorial heard about their gesture they decided to pitch in, decorating one of their conference rooms so Karlee, Chase, Quade and their parents could have their own special affair.

"Why not?" said Quade. "There's girl who has cancer, this is her first prom and who knows what's going to happen. It just feels good to do this; it's something we won't ever forget."

Chase and Quade arranged for a group of other students to join them later that evening. Since her diagnosis Karlee has had at least nine tumors removed.

My Saturday was a good day, I feel like a lot done. We were able to clean the house, do the laundry, and go shopping. It was such a nice day so we mowed the lawn and we finished the downstairs bathroom!!(our FIRST room all the way done)

For those that don't know I am really into food storage right now and in my food storage book it tells how to can butter, so we thought that would be a good food storage item for the week. So 10 lbs of better later we have canned butter!
