Our programme is varied, diverse, forward-thinking and ever-changing. We’re proud to work with some of the best promoters and collectives in the capital who shape our programme and make us what we are.
Village Underground has played host to Charli XCX, Jeff Mills, Blondie, Pixies, Ezra Collective, Alicia Keys, Four Tet, IDLES, Loyle Carner, Lee Scratch Perry and many more.
Our story
We started life as an idea – what if you could make affordable studios for struggling artists, out of old tube train carriages?
Underneath, a Victorian warehouse had fallen into disrepair. We saw the potential in it, put a roof on it, cleared out all of the rubbish, sandblasted the walls, and laid down a floor to transform it into the venue that became Village Underground.
Since then, we’ve become a vital London venue, played by Blondie, Pixies, The Stone Roses, Jarvis Cocker, IDLES, Charlie XCX and many more.
