Mmmmm feet

Pepper has been admiring her feet from afar for some time now... she is thrilled to finally be able to reach them, but was quite disappointed to realize they are not edible. Life is just not fair sometimes!

My smiley sleeper

This picture was taken when Pepper was 15 days old. I finally uploaded it from my phone because I never want to lose it!

She was (and still is) so dang cute those first few weeks... she ALWAYS smiled as she was falling asleep. I never got tired of watching her doze off... those little smiles were so rewarding, even though they were involuntary. I'm still a sucker for my baby's smiles!

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving, we spent a few days at my grandparents home in Bountiful. We didn't birng Pepper's baby tub, so we got to wash her in the sink. She'll be too big for baths in the sink soon...
She turned 5 months old while we were there!

My dad was in town for turkey day, I love it when he visits. He's a wonderful Grandpa. He and Chelsea both took turns with Pepper during Thanksgiving dinner so I could eat with both hands.
Thank you Dad and Chels!!

She is almost ticklish... almost.

Pepper loves her mommy! (And the cute outfits her Grandma buys her!)

Sometimes when she makes this face it reminds me of those bitter-beer-face commercials....
anyone know what I'm talking about?

After we got back home, Pepper developed the talent of jibber-jabbering VERY loudly...
She especially loves to do it during church:)

When I think of what I'm thankful for, Corban is always the first blessing that comes to mind. (Sorry Chelsea and Brook if this makes you throw up in your mouth a little:) He's a wonderful husband and because of him, I'm a better person than I was 4 years ago.

I'm also very thankful for my beautiful baby girl. There are countless things that can go wrong with pregnancy, labor & delivery, and newborns. I feel so blessed/lucky/thrilled/ecstatic/amazed that Pepper arrived without major complications, and that she is a happy, healthy baby. I also can't complain that she regularly sleeps 10-12 hours every night:)

I'm so thankful for my little family!

When Pepper disagrees that it's bedtime...

... she spits.

I know it's a dark video, but I hope you'll enjoy it anyway. She's in her crib, trying to go to sleep... sort of.

Happy Watching!

Cincinnati!

I went to Cincinnati in October for 10 long, relaxing, glorious days. It was so good to be back home... it had been a really, really long time. My parents are amazing grandparents and were super helpful. They are welcome in my home ANYTIME:)

My dear friend Sara Weir Narburgh had a baby girl while I was in Cincinnati (was that perfect timing or WHAT!). I got to see Sara, Gordon, and little Emma in the hospital. She was so tiny! I love that we have girls who are just 3 1/2 months apart. They don't know it yet, but Emma and Pepper are going to be great friends!

It was chilly in Cincinnati, but that didn't stop us from going outside. My mom dug through the basement and found this snowsuit looking thing-- it's only about 20 yrs old now. Who ever said mom had a hard time throwing things away? :)

Pepper had lots of bonding time on the trampoline with her wonderful Grandma.

A good friend from high school, Amanda Kennedy, had her wedding reception while I was home. She was beautiful, and we had a wonderful time catching up. Katey Krings was her maid of honor. I love those girls!!

A few years ago my mom found this outfit at a garage sale for $.50 or some crazy small amount... anyone who knows my mother knows she can't resist an amazing deal like that. So she held on to it until she had a grandchild who was the right size at the right time of year. Lucky Pepper!!

Here we go again

I started this blog almost 2 years ago, but gave up quickly after getting frustrated with it. I like to think I'm a pretty computer literate person, but my blog was not my friend that day. Anyway, I am recommitted. To show you just HOW recommitted I am, here is a picture of my little Pepper:)
