Tooth
I have had this tooth that has been quite a pain in the mouth! It is my farthest back molar, the one right in front of my wisdom tooth- yes I still have mine. A couple of years ago I had to have a root canal on this tooth- ugh! Ever since then it has been nothing but trouble to me- The dentist has never been able to get a decent crown on it- it never fits right, yadayadayada. Anyway- a couple of weeks ago I was just innocently chewing some gum and *pop* my crown slides right off! As I pulled the crown out of my gum (yeah, I know- gross!) I realized that the whole inside of my tooth was still in the crown! ARGH, all I had left in my mouth was the root and the outside wall of the tooth- WTH?! So Monday I went to the oral surgeon to have them pull out the rest of the tooth- it was not fun. However, today Tyler asked me if the tooth fairy had come to visit me because I lost a tooth! LOL Man that kid is funny! Little does he know that I AM THE TOOTH FAIRY and trust me, I did not visit myself, although I think it is a good idea and I might have to leave myself something nice under my pillow....

2009 Family Photo Shoot
On November 6th our local friend/photographer Becky took our family pictures. We had a fun time and the pictures turned out great! It was really hard to choose them so we ended up choosing A LOT of them- lol- but that's ok because we actually missed having our pics done last year so we figured we were just making up for that. :)

Basketball
Tyler is playing basketball again this year through the Rec center. They won their first game last week by a hair- literally- it was by 1 point in the last 60 seconds of the game! Tyler did a great job and he even sunk a shot right at the half-time buzzer- it was a fun exciting game! I guess they did not do quite so well at this last game- I wasn't there because it was our ward party that day and Shawn and I were in charge so I was at the church getting ready and made Shawn take Ty to the game so he could see him play. Anyway, they lost. Tyler said I am his good luck charm so I need to come to the rest of his games- how cute is that?!
A couple of weeks ago after one of his practices one of the coaches was telling me how good Tyler is now and how good he will be if he keeps going. I was telling Tyler this in the car on the way home and I said "if you keep this up one day I will be able to realize my dream of selling you to the NBA!" He then replied "MOM, I don't want to play for the NBA, I want to be an Engineer!" HELLO! How awesome is my kid that he has such good goals already!!! So then I told him that he was right, he had a better goal in mind but if he plays really good he could always get a basketball scholarship to college to help pay for that engineering education. He thought that sounded like a good idea. :) Tyler is such a great kid and such a blessing to me. I know for sure that he is the kid that will take care of my in my old age! I am such a blessed mother.

Thanksgiving week
We had a fantastic Thanksgiving week. My dad, sister Mel, BIL Aaron and nieces Ashley, Morgan and Joslyn arrived on Tuesday evening. It was so much fun to have them here finally! Wed Aaron went to work with Shawn and it sounded like they had an eventful day. :) I had to work for a few hours so after that the rest of us trooped off to Walmart to get the final fixins for Turkey Day dinner. We had a fun evening just hanging out, visiting and preparing for the next day. On Thanksgiving day we had a pretty low-key morning which was really nice. We prepared the food and met the Steins and Wheelers at the church at 4:00. Holy cow, we had so dang much food!! We could have had 5 more families join us and still had plenty! We had a great time eating yummy food, playing basketball and other games. What a blast- the night ended way too soon. Friday the boys and Joslyn tried to go to the Coors Brewery but it was closed- again. This is the 2nd or 3rd time they've tried to go when Aaron was here (not to drink, just because it is interesting) but every time they are closed and their stupid automated voice message doesn't say they will be- argh! So they ended up going for a long, beautiful drive- something all of the guys like to do. Meanwhile Me and Mel took the big girls to see New Moon- LOVED IT! I thought it was way better than the first one and really, who can resist a little hottie werewolf- lol. After that we went to the outlet mall and did some shopping. It was a blast. Saturday we got up and out early and went to Hammonds Candy Factory for a tour. It is free and very interesting, plus you get to sample their yummy candy! After that we went up to Dinosaur Ridge and saw the fossilized dino tracks- really cool. The final stop was Casa Bonita. Their food isn't really very good (except for the sopapillas) but the kids really enjoy the atmosphere so this was really for them. We completed the night by playing games and hanging out. Sunday morning they headed out and it was so sad!! I really miss being close to my family! I am so thankful for all of them and so glad that they were able to come out for the holiday- I hope it's sooner than another 4 years before we can get them out here! :) Love you guys so much, thanks for coming!!
