"He has said be nice"...

I didn't have anything new to post about, so I thought I would just write about something really cute that Lauryn did the other day. We were in the car and she said "mom, I want to sing child of god" I said okay, sing it. So she starts in, "I am a child of God." I help a little and say the "and.." She finishes with "...and he has said be nice!" I couldn't help but bust up laughing! It was the cutest thing ever, so of course she thought she was pretty funny after that. So then her and Jordan started singing it over and over and over and laughing after that part. So now whenever she sings I am a Child of God, she starts to giggle right before she says "he has said be nice" and then looks at me to see if I'm going to laugh too. I just love when they do or say such cute things. It helps you to get through those days when you just want to kill them!:) I love my kiddies!

It's all over!!

Well, we had a wonderful Christmas! Tyler's mom spent the night and it was great to have her there with us. When the kids woke up, Jordan came upstairs and pretended like he didn't see in the living room, then when I was out of the room he said to Grandma, "there was a kitchen for me and lots of presents and lots of chairs!" So when we went downstairs, first thing he does is goes to the kitchen set,"look I got a kitchen!" I say, "Well, I think that is for Lauryn." It you could have seen his face, you can kind of see it in the picture of the two of them and the kitchen, he just sunk his head and came over to me and started to cry. I felt so bad. We hurried and got his bow and arrow present and had him open that and then he felt a little better. Kade was with his mom for Christmas morning this year, so he did his present later. He got the ripstick he had been asking for and was very excited about that. We had a great day, but it's kind of nice to be done.

I'm dreaming of a White Christmas...

Well, it's definately a white Christmas!! I got up to come to work and the flakes were just coming down like crazy! It was very beautiful the snow just sparkled, although it wasn't too fun to drive in! MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone. I am excited to go home and watch the excitement as my kids go in to see their gifts. I would also like to thank all those who remembered my birthday this year, I can definately say that I had more people call and wish me a happy birthday yesterday than I usually do. Most people are busy with their families and forget, but thank you to those of you who remembered!! I had a great day.

Here is the pre-christmas set up. I was up until about midnight playing Santa, so here is the before pictures...

I am so excited for Lauryn to see her kitchen, she is going to absolutely LOVE it!! And also the cute little crib you see used to be mine when I was little, so I refinished it and now it can be hers. She will love it too, she got a baby from grandma layna the other night, so she's set.
These next few pictures are at my family party the other night. This first one is my mom and dad looking at the calendar and book that I made for them. They turned out so cute.
Here are the gals in their traditional christmas jammies that grandma gets for them.

And the whole crew in their pajamas.
Here is Lauryn with her new baby. She loves it, and she loves the bottle that came with it that magically disappears. The baby laughs and wiggles it's arms and legs and also cries. It's really cute. When it cries she holds it and says "don't cry baby, shh shh shh, twinkle twinkle little star..." and proceeds to sing the song to her, it is adorable.
Who's that sexy mama?

And then there was twister! Kade and Holly played twister, it went for quite awhile, I finally had to just start making up where to go to try and get holly twisted up, and eventually it worked.

Home Sweet Home....Almost!!

WOW, what a roller coaster this has been! After months of what seemed like an endless search of all the homes available in Spanish Fork, we finally narrowed it down to two or three....and we can officially say that this one will be our future home. It's about 90% complete, they just need to do the finish work on the inside, but that shouldn't take more than a month or so. We are SO excited to have found this house. We Love it! The gray exterior is exactly the colors we were looking for and we got to go pick out everything for the inside just a few days ago. We had a lot of fun there, even though it was little stressful. It's kind of hard to make all those decisions in just a few hours, but I think we did a good job. Finally, we will have the room we need plus a basement to grow into down the road. I can't wait to not have to scrape ice and snow off the van and truck anymore...YES! We took the kids there to see it for their first time on Saturday and they were SO excited. It was priceless to watch them run around checking it out. It reminded me of Christmas morning. Leave it to Kade, he was the first one upstairs to say "this one is my room!", Lauryn has already found her own little spot to hide in the entertainment niche and Jordan has been telling people about our new house that has "a really cool basement". It was hilarious! We will have host the next friend get-together/BBQ this spring. Thanks for all your patience and help, Jed. What a wonderful christmas present for Mom and Dad!

My sweet Hubby!

So Friday night Tyler decided to celebrate a little pre-birthday for me. He even sang "pre happy birthday to you..." We took the kids up to his mom's house and we went to Cafe Rio to eat. It was very yummy, we hadn't been there in a long time. Then we decided to go catch a movie, we wanted to see National Treasure, but they were all sold out until 10:30, so we settled for "I am Legend" with Will Smith. Uggh! All I can say is don't waste your money on that one. We both hated it. Will Smith did a great job acting, but the storyline was just awful. Anyway, he also gave me my birthday gifts. I got a Carrie Underwood cd, a really cute bracelet type watch, I bought myself a cute coat for my b-day and christmas, and he also got me a gift certificate to a day spa!!! Hip Hip Hooray for me! I am so so excited for that, I could definately use it. I have never gotten a real professional massage, but I hear they are great, so thank you thank you my sweet husband!
We also had a christmas party last night, but I forgot to bring my camera to work with me to download the pics, so stay tuned...

Date Night! It really can happen every once in awhile..

Last Friday night we went out on a date with some of our best friends The Widdisons. We ate dinner at Brick Oven, then we had tickets to "The Christmas Carol" at the Hale Center Theater. The play was really good, nice to get you into the christmas spirit. We had a nice night out, and Thanks to my wonderful parents who seem to always be so willing to watch the kids so we can have some time out!
Me and Emily, I'm surprised we look so happy in this picture, it was FREEZING outside!!!

And then there is Kyle and Tyler! At least they let us take their picture together!

The Bean Museum and ICE CREAM!!!

The other day we needed to get out of the house, so we went with our friends the Widdisons to the Bean Museum. Lauryn was so funny because she did not dare walk in the door, there was a big reindeer with a santa hat on right as you walk in. She just kept saying, "it kinda scary mom" I literally had to drag her inside. Once she was in there she seemed okay, she would every once in a while say it was kinda scary. They had fun looking at all the dead animals though.

After the museum we took the kids to McDonalds to let them run around and have some ice cream. They loved that. We went in the play area and Lauryn kept looking over at the Ronald McDonald statue. When we would walk past it she would cling to me, finally she said "it kinda scary!" (that's her new thing lately, santa's kinda scary too) After she ate her ice cream I told her to go play on the toys, she just stood there looking at Ronald. I told her "you can do it, hurry and run!" So she did, and boy did she run fast, not taking her eyes off him. She had this dilemma every time she need to pass by him. It was actually really really funny!

Here are some pictures to make you want to go get an ice cream cone!!

And here she is hurrying past to the "safe zone"

Tingey Christmas Party

Saturday we had Tyler's family party down at his sister Kim's house in Meadow (just south of fillmore) We had a really fun time. Thanks Kim for letting us crash your house!

This is actually on the ride down, they were wore out before we even got started.

Kade and Colton doing what boys do best wrestling!

Lauryn is actually getting better at the smiling thing, her "cheese" actually looks normal now!

I thought this picture was so so cute of her and her Grandma T.

We attempted a picture with the grandkids and it actually turned out pretty good! Oldest to youngest, sorry Tyler kind of cut your head of at the top Whitney!

Party #2

We had another family party for the Harwood side of the family. Every year Santa visits. Of course my kids were the only ones that literally freaked out when he came in. They wanted nothing to do with him. We had a fun night, we had lots of good food, Santa came and then the adults got a turn to play. We play a gift exchange game every year. Then we all played Bunco. That was fun to have the guys playing with us so they can see what us girls do when we go out playing Bunco. It was a lot of fun.

He was a pretty good Santa.

I even got to sit on Santa's lap with Lauryn.

Sitting with some of the cute kids, Isn't that little baby the cutest thing you've ever seen! He's my cousins new little guy.

This was the reaction Lauryn gave when Santa entered the room.

And this was Jordan watching from a distance.

Every once in awhile Lauryn would sit up and sneak a peek.

Jordan did not like going up and getting his present from Santa.

'Tis the season for Christmas Parties!!

We had our first Christmas party yesterday with Tyler's dad's family. It was at his sister Michelle's house. We had a potatoe bar which was awesome, I haven't had that for a long time, all those yummy toppings!! Then we cleaned that up and got ready to make gingerbread house. Now, my kids were more interested in eating all the treats that went on the house than helping with the house itself. So I guess I should say I made a gingerbread house. The kids had fun running around playing. It was fun to look outside and see all the snow coming down, it snowed most of the day. Here are a few pictures of our house making. And if you can notice, I darkened my hair, it's kind of a fun change for now. What do you think?

This was before we broke out all the candy!

As you can see, once the candy was out, that's all they wanted!

Lauryn with a huge mouthful of candy.

This was a nice shot with Lauryn's mouthful of chocolate showing!

And this was the finished product.

First Snowy day of the season!!

Well, Saturday it snowed and snowed and the kids were so excited to get their snow stuff out and go play! We were going up to my brother Scott's house for the day and to spend the night, so they had to wait until we got up there, but they sure had fun once they got to go out. Lauryn loved it and just kept eating the snow. And the boys were just boys, throwing snowballs at each other and making one another cry! Typical boys.

Lauryn all ready to go out and play.

This was Jordan just before he was ready to come in.
All five of them, look out cameraman, looks like you might get some snow in the face!

These two are our crazy ones! Just look at those faces!

And this is waiting for the HOT CHOCOLATE!!!

We are officially homeless....

We signed the papers this morning, so it is officially final! This is no longer our house, thankfully we don't have to leave yet. Hopefully everything falls into place now and we are able to get something that is right for us. We will keep you updated on our house hunt.

Little update..

Well, just thought I would put an update on here. Tyler is out of town again, he left Tuesday and gets home sunday, so hopefully all my kids are alive when he gets home. I don't think I would survive being a single parent, or should I say my kids would survive! Big high five to all those single parents out there, I don't know how you do it! I am so lucky to have my family so close though to help out all the time, and they do help out all the time. You will all be happy to know that I couldn't be a scrooge for very long, yesterday I got my tree put up and my decorations out, and I did it all by myself! You should have seen me getting that tree box down out of the garage! Pretty interesting. I am glad that I got it done though, maybe tonight I will have the kids help me decorate the tree.
Well, Tyler took the camera with him, so I don't have any new pictures to put up, so I just thought I would put some old pictures on of me and my little princess!

Saturday, November 24, 2007

Well, I've been a really really big slacker lately. Life for us seems to have been so busy the past few weeks. Tyler had to go out of town for a few days, then he was home this past week, and now he will leave again on Tuesday and be gone until Sunday. In our spare time which isn't much by the time he gets off work, we have been trying to go look at houses! It is kind of stressful looking at houses because I want to make sure that we take our time and find the right house for us that we can stay in for a long time! Hopefully one will just jump right out at us soon.

We had a good Thanksgiving. We went to Tyler's mom's house this year and had some great food and had a good time visiting with his family that we don't really see too often.

I know most people have started getting or have got their christmas stuff put up, I am kind of being a scrooge this year and I have no desire to put any of it up! Which is strange because I love christmas. I think that the reason behind this is because I know that we will sometime soon be moving and I just don't want to get the mess of all of it out to pack it all back up again and then continue to pack the rest of my house. Too much packing for me, it's easier to just leave the Christmas stuff already packed! Maybe we will get the tree out so Santa has somewhere to leave the gifts.

Well, hope all is well with everyone else. I will try to do better at updating, although I can't promise anything!!
I am at work and I forgot my camera, so I will try and post some pictures soon.

Saturday, November 10, 2007

Well, it's been awhile since I've posted anything. It's been kind of a busy week. Tyler has been gone a LOT for work lately, AND we sold our house this week!! It's kind of a bitter sweet feeling. I really love our house, but hopefully everything will work out how it is supposed to and we will be able to get into a house that will work for us for a long time. We're not really sure what we are going to do yet, but we close on Dec. 5 and I think we will just stay here in our house and rent from the lady that is buying it until we find something. It will be nice not having to move all our stuff right before Christmas and to not feel rushed to find something. So if you know of any good deals on houses here in Spanish Fork let us know. We'll keep you all updated on what's going on.

HALLOWEEN

Halloween has come and gone. I am kind of glad it's over. I think the kids had a good time though. Here are a few pictures of them in their costumes.

Kade wanted to be a devil this year, and boy does he play the part well! :) Look at that face.

Jordan was a fireman and he just looked so cute in his costume. And he's the only fireman that carries a gun around. He took his gun everywhere, he loves it and won't put it down! He even sleeps with it. Thank goodness for the dollar store!

And Lauryn was our little Raggedy Ann!! If she isn't the cutest thing you have ever seen, I don't know what it!! She looked so cute in her costume and that wig.

Here is the three of them all together.
We went up to great grandpa's house to visit with him for a little while, he enjoyed seeing the kids and having some visitors.
