Skate Park, Lauryn's Dance, and Jordan's baseball

The kids have been begging to go to the skate park, but every time we drive by there are LOTS of teenagers and from being there before, we know that the language and actions of those teenagers are not the greatest to be around. So I told them I would take them first thing in the morning that way the teenagers would still be in bed. And I was right. We got there about 8:45 in the morning and we were the only ones there. They loved it.

Jordan showing me his skills at dropping down the ramp.

He's quite the little skater.

Jordan only took one BIG fall. He landed right on his hip and it looked like it hurt!! This picture isn't when he fell though.

And Kelsey just chilled eating her fruit snacks!

Lauryn did a week long dance camp this past week and LOVED it! She was so fun to watch.

She even got a fancy medal on the last day, and boy was she excited!

Jordan started his first year of baseball, he is such a good little athlete! He sure knows how to hit the ball.

Strawberry Days 2011!!

We always look forward to Stawberry Days in PG. The kids love the parade, playing at Grandma's, and especially Blackbeards treasure hunt!

Kelsey really did like it, despite the look on her face.

Dad was sharing his pop rocks with her!

And who doesn't love a good old slip 'n slide.

Paul was having WAY too much fun!

And Tyler looked great with Kelsey's jewlery on.

Big thanks to Grandma T. for all the fun stuff she prepared! We always have a good time.

Bowling with the cousins

We had a fun time taking most of the cousins bowling.

My crazy girls!

Here are some random pictures of my cute, silly girls.

This is Kelsey's favorite chair that is on our front porch. I catch her many times just climbing up and chilling in the chair. The other day she got so mad when Tyler sat in it. Then when he got up to go get something in the house, she looked over, saw that he was out and ran over and sat in it before he came back.

Silly Lauryn

Talking on the phone.

Man that smile is awesome!

I don't know what it is about sitting in chairs, but she literally just sat in this carseat while I cleaned out the car one day. She loved it.

And of course it's not always happy times. We have PLENTY of these moments throughout the day!

End of year programs...

Th e kids had a great year in school this year. Here are a few pictures from Jordan's 1st grade program and Lauryn's preschool program.

Tribute to my Grandpa

My wonderful Grandpa was able to leave this world this past Friday after almost 95 years of life!! He accomplished so many things and impacted so many people in those many years. I am so grateful for the person that he was, and for the example he set, especially to his children, which in turn they have set for us, his grandchildren. Grandpa and Grandma always made sure family came first and that our families were close. I am so glad they did. There is nothing better than having a family that you can rely on. I know he was so incredibly grateful for his children and what they did for him in those final two weeks of his life. He was so glad to be able to be at home surrounded by those he loved most. I can only imagine the wonderful reunion going on up in heaven as he gets to be with those that had gone before him. I'm so grateful for the gospel that we have to know that this life is not the end.

I love you so much Grandpa!
