random thoughts

After reading my sister's blog about ramblings, I thought it would be a good way to get down all the updates and thoughts. Idea also stolen from this gal.

******

blogging
i just don't do it much anymore.
can't get motivated.
just don't have the time.

******

i have been working on mine since 2007.
i am not as diligent as my sister and
i am now 2 years behind.

******

depressing
the snow is making me depressed
and i hate being teased with spring weather.
outdoor activities are all i want to do now
so please, no more snow!

******

walking
taylor still isn't walking.
she pretend walks on her knees.
i just bought more pants because
she keeps tearing holes.
she is scared to even try.
but...we have made progress and
she pulls herself up on everything,
walks a little more stable with our help,
and walked holding only one hand with me last night!

******

pictures
i just sent my camera off with my mom
while they go on a 2 week cruise.
just in time for my little digital camera to break.
so there may be a lack of pictures for awhile.

******

home
we still don't own a home.
7 1/2 years of marriage and we have backed out
2 times from buying a home.
and we are now just about to back out for the 3rd time.
we have been asked to take care of
another house in PC come this July.
so yet another year of not owning a home.
i have to admit...it is a little relieving
not making that big leap.

******

studying
eric is back to studying, studying, studying.
he is working on getting ready to take the GMAT.
and then start applying to grad school.
another reason why we are backing out
of buying a home right now.
we don't know where we will end up.

******

vacation
we need a vacation.
to someplace warm.
just time to get away for some fun.
any suggestions?

******

prego update
only  3 1/2 months to go!
i have not bought one item for this baby boy.
my sister gave me all her clothes she had for jack
and i feel like i just don't need to get anymore.
besides shopping for a boy is so boring.
i find myself in the girl section
 buying for taylor every time.
it is much more fun.
i just got her this easter dress.

******

bedding
i am sewing, sewing, sewing.
i have been working on tons of orders
and now i am making my sister's little girl bedding.
go here for her choice of fabrics.
i am grateful for the business
and i love making bedding.
go here to see the latest.

ball

taylor loves balls.
she can't get enough of them.
every balloon, or round shape thing is a ball.
she even spots balls from the car, ones we can't even see ourselves.
she always sees the little balls on car antennas and on signs.
she loves to look at balls in books
and carry around small balls...I mean walk on her knees:)

I am waiting to take her outside to play with all the balls in the garage...if only she would walk!!!

friends, fun, and being outdoors

We went to visit my friend Jenni who just had her 3rd girl. Taylor loved the little "baby" and loved playing with all the toys. It was nice to visit and let the kids do their thing.
It will be fun to see how taylor will act with our new little one around.

I am so exited that the snow is melting and the days are wamer.
Today I met up with my teacher friends, Heidi and Lindsey, and we took the kids to Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point. Taylor loves animals, although if we got too close she would say "no, no." She loved seeing the tractor and riding the pony...only when it was almost time to get off. She was freaked, but I kept her on and she calmed down.

We are so looking forward to more time outside.
I have already broken out the flip flops.
Now if I could only get taylor to walk...we could do so much!
I am tired of the holes in her pants, dirty knees, socks, and scuffed up shoes.

vegas trip

Last weekend we headed to vegas for the NASCAR race and visit with my sister's family. It was so nice to get away and enjoy the nice weather. I have been dying to take taylor outside. We had so much fun at the petting zoo and park. Taylor loved being outside. Now that we are back I am in denial that it is still winter. Yesterday, we went swimming...so fun, and today we got frozen yogurt, and yet it is still snowing!!!

{taylor loves animals and enjoyed seeing them so close}

{the park was perfect, taylor crawled so much she tore holes in her pants and scuffed up her shoes...when is this girl going to walk?}

{the boys headed out for NASCAR all day Sunday and are making this a yearly tradition.
Eric already has the next trip planned}

***pictures are from last year...they didn't take any of themselves this year***

{prego sisters...you can't tell, but I am popping out so much more than brit. She is about 5 weeks ahead of me, but we carry so different}

We enjoyed some time to ourselves as well. Pedicures, shopping, dinner, all without the kids. It was nice to just do girl stuff and not feel rushed. Thanks men for taking care of the kids.

Taylor of course LOVED playing with Jack. They get along great. We had our first experience staying in a hotel with Taylor. We were worried our super sleeper would have a problem with us in the room. The first night she was a little freaked and it took awhile to get her to sleep, but the next 2 nights she thought the little crib and sleeping next to mom and dad was so much fun. I am glad she did so well.

We can't wait to see the P*'s again in a couple of weeks. Thanks for a fun time!

home

we went from feeling like this in the warm weather...

to this...

{okay not quite, but this is what is feels like to me}

So depressing!
More to come on our trip later!
Need to get settled in, mail out some orders, and just unwind!
I already miss the southern weather...I'm moving!
