Christmas 2006

We were so lucky to get Barry's parents to drive from Ohio and stay at my dad's house over the Christmas Holiday. How more perfect could Christmas be spent than with the people you love the most all under one roof!

Every year we get all the grandkids together for a day of "fun" at Kiddie Kandids for pictures to make a Christmas bulb for the grandparents. It's a tradition I started with Aidan and so far we haven't missed a year. Every year we seem to keep adding to the group.


We all managed to wear Santa hats and the kids absolutely loved wearing them. As you can see, Dallin is sporting a lovely red with white fur Santa hat that happens to match his snowman PJ's. I just had to get this shot of Koen. He's not yet sitting on his own so we put him in Dallin's new Cars chair which Koen was very comfy slumping in and observing the opening of presents.

Blessing Day

We had the twins blessed around Christmas since we had family visiting already. The boys are about 5 months old here. I couldn't really get a good pic of them together in their blessing outfits since they were already tired from their long day and were getting hungry. That didn't stop them from being very handsome little men.

Our little spooks! We had fun going to a Halloween party at Aidan's pre-school and then later went trunk-or-treating. We all had a lot of fun and ate our fair share of sugar for the year :)

This pic was fun to take. They were both lift their heads up. Of course it was more of a challenge for Kael since he was on the bottom. Shortly after I took this pic and removed Koen, Kael spit up all over the blanket LOL

Snuggle Bugs

Just a few little highlights of the first few months. Having twins is truely an amazing experience. I am loving every minute of it! They shared a crib for the first 6 months because that's the only way they could sleep is snuggled up to each other. I'm guessing because that's what they've been used to the past 9 months :)

They are very mellow and loving little boys and their siblings just love them and are great little helpers. I love the pic of Kael sitting on his dad with the hat. We refer to him in this pic as our little garden gnome. The picture next to it is Koen and dad taking an afternoon nap. How precious!

New Additions!

July 19, 2006 we welcomed 2 new members to our little family. Kael weighed 6 lbs 4 oz and Koen weighed 5 lbs 13 oz. They were both 18" long. Very healthy little boys. We are truely blessed!

Our Little Cabooses!!

Barry, Aidan and myself went in to get our first ultra sound to find out the gender of our baby. The Ultra sound technician kept referring to "Baby A and Baby B." We thought he was was teasing and it was getting a little ridiculous and we asked him to stop teasing. At that moment he told us the wonderful news and showed us a wide shot on the machine, revealing to us the first glimpse of our little miracles!

Baby A (Kael) and Baby B (Koen). We were too surprised for words! We didn't say anything but look at each other, exchanging overwhelming looks of shock, love, disbelief, and curiosity. At that moment we knew we were outnumbered and it was going to be a lot of work!

A Perfect Day in Paradise

We go married in Maui at sunset on the beach with both our families there. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding...
