Tons of Pictures

We are grateful for all the family and friends that have come to visit us and to meet Roxanne.  We are excited to meet so many more!  In February Roxanne will get to meet Grandma Cindy, Grandpa Jamie, Aunt Crystal, Aunt Emily, Uncle Jeff, and her Glasgow cousins(Danielle, Austin, Luke, and Wyatt).  Uncle Eric is coming in March. We are so lucky to have such great people supporting us as parents.

Mom's are amazing

I have learned so much over the past 3 1/2 weeks.  I am so grateful to my own mom for coming out to help me.  I have never needed, wanted, or appreciated my mom more in my life.  She was so great to have here for 10 days and really got me back on my feet.  She took care of Roxanne, taught me how to take care of Roxanne, let me sleep, kept me company, drove me around, shopped, cooked, cleaned, and took care of bunch of sewing projects.  She even got us TV, I know we've been married over 4 years and never had a TV.  I was suppose to get a Lazy Boy for Christmas, but couldn't find one I liked, so we got a TV instead.  It only took a couple of long late nights to convince me that it was time.  Cable is included in our HOA/rent already, just needed to be hooked up.  Anyways, back to my Mom, she is so amazing and I am so grateful that she was so willing to come out and help me, not to mention my dad who had to be alone for 10 days so that I could have her.  She helped me accomplish so much and work through that crazy phase of post partum.  She somehow had tons of energy despite taking the baby for me on many of the late nights and most of the days.  She was always happy to spend more time with her granddaughter and before she left she mention how much she already loved Roxanne.  I am lucky to have her as a Mom and Roxanne is lucky to have such a great Grandma.

Due Date

Roxanne was actually due today, but instead we have gotten to enjoy her for the past week.  Jon went back to school today and really missed being able to hang out with us.  My mom arrived and got to meet Roxy.  We are so glad that she is here.  Jon and I even left for an hour without her.  Still hasn't really sunk in that she is ours.

A little late, but by far the best Christmas gift we received.

This is what happens when you don't find out the gender and try to prepare for both.  We have been so blessed with clothing donations.  We haven't really bought any clothes, yet she has a lot.

She got to meet Uncle Alex

This is my favorite position to hold her in, she curls up into a little ball, it is so adorable.

Happy New Year

Going Home

We got to take our little Roxanne home with us on Thursday.  I had brought a girl's outfit, but it was too big and just a onsie.  While we were in the hospital a decent snow storm passed through and made a big icy mess.  So we wanted our girl bundled up tight.  Hence explains the little boy's outfit that she is wearing.  We still think she is adorable and she has worn that outfit every time we have had to take her out in the cold thus far.  We have been to get her bilirubin levels checked twice.  Thankfully they have normalized so we won't be doing that anymore.  Leaving the hospital was so surreal for me, I hadn't stepped foot out of my hospital room since I had walked in  4 days earlier.  Once the nurse shut the door to the car and we were leaving, Jon and I looked at each other and couldn't believe they were letting us take her home.  But she is ours and we are so glad.
