Sewing Frenzy

At Enrichment this week I learned how to make a nursing cover. Which makes a great gift for Emily and my new nephew. That's right little Wyatt Joseph made his entrance on Saturday. I can't wait to meet him, hopefully in a few weeks. In the mean time he inspired me to dust off my sewing machine and get to work. I made him a quilt a few months ago, but I tried my hand at those cute cloth diaper/burp cloths and they are really easy. Now don't get any ideas, because there are no babies on the way for us, just for clarification :)

Just to make heads and tails of this there are 3 nursing covers and 2 burp clothes.

New Hair and New Shoes

On Fridays patients are only scheduled until noon, so I have the rest of the day to myself. Well this Friday was particularly hectic because the Dr took off to the hospital while I was still seeing some patients. So he kind of left me in a bind, however after some creativity and taking some good notes for Monday I got out of the office and home. Jon spent the week in New York so it was nice to get home and see him. Then I had this great desire to cut my hair that day, so I called my friend Ashlee and she got me in at 4. I love to get my hair cut and she did an awesome job. Not a major change just more style to my existing length.

After talking to my sister Emily who got some awesome deals at Dillards on Friday I went to check it out on Saturday and I scored big time with the shoes. I got the sophisticated red pair for 12 dollars and the fun and fancy yellow pair for $15. Needless to say it was a great deal. Considering that I spend 5 days a week in dress shoes I think it is okay to venture out on styles a little bit and get creative. Anyways I got wear my shoes to Bunco night which was a blast St. Patrick's Day style. How can you not have a good time when you get 16 girls together and play a game of luck. Everything is going well here. By the way Crystal and Mike are back together and that makes us happy because she is very happy.
