Master Sgt. Richard J. Ovard left Thursday March 5th for annual training and field exercises in Korea. I just hope he makes it back without a broken back after hauling such heavy Army duffle bags and backpacks.
He was able to call me from San Francisco on Wednesday before his 12-hour flight to Korea.
I finally received an email to let us know that he has now safely (but miserably) arrived in Korea. We're still not sure where he is stationed but he says the temperature during the day has been in the 40's and he hasn't even needed a jacket yet. It sounds like he hasn't slept for a couple of days.
We'll try to keep everyone posted while he is away. We're still not sure how much contact we will have but wanted you all to know that our soldier is safe :)
Noah loved the flames from the cooking but didn't want them to stop.
Jared ordered sushi and we got almost everyone to try it. Those are fish eggs on Mckenna's tongue!

This summer we took a camping trip down to the Big Horn Ranch with most of our kids & grandkids. We had a fun time camping, riding 4-wheelers, cooking, roasting marshmallows, target shooting, playing games, telling stories around the campfire and spending time together.

Last summer the girls were lucky enough to get to go to the HANNAH MONTANA CONCERT! Madilyn even got to MEET her in person! She got a picture with her and her autograph. It was a BIG day for them!
