Toothless
Brendan's front two teeth have been so loose for so long I can't even remember. Here, in his handsome school picture you can see that they have migrated to the middle of is mouth because they are so loose. I'll be honest. I was dreading the no front teeth picture for this year. I don't know why, other than I had so many teeth issues that I don't want that for my kids. I think this is the cutest picture of the whole school. That was August.
Now, it's October and literally, you could see the top of the tooth he could bend it so much. It was disgusting to say the least, and he was a wimp about us pulling it out at best. Finally after begging, bribing, and showering him with "We'll let you do this...." we finally gave up and did what every other parent does. Sit on him and yank it out while he was kicking and screaming. Although, I use the work yank loosely, because if I flicked it with my finger it would have just come right out. One twist of the wrist and POP- gone. After all the tears he asks "Is it out yet?" Oh yeah! You didn't even feel it. So now that that tooth's crutch was gone the other one was literally hanging on because the other one was no longer holding it there. So now it is in the middle of the mouth looking like Quasimodo. But NO! YOU MAY NOT PULL MY OTHER TOOTH! Bribe after hopeful bribe, the other one was not coming out.
Saturday the Tooth Fairy left a note for Brendan saying that she was so sad to only see one of the teeth and that she hoped to see it that night. Brendan didn't buy it. So after more prepping and bribing- it ended the same way the other one did. Jason holding him down while I flicked that one out. I think he was not wanting to look funny without his two front teeth, but I'll be damned if that kid is not going to sing "All I want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth" this year. I've got him practicing 'Sister Suzy Sitting on a Thistle.' Plus, he looks SO CUTE!

Status update
I would like to report that my new washer and dryer have effectively passed the "Spaghetti-O Throw Up Challenge".
1 baby shirt
1 bib
1 blanket
1 cup (at least!) of Spaghetti-O throw up
The laundry came out fresh and clean and no O's in sight!

Do you see the two lateral incisors? They came in among all the fuss. Why do I always take pictures of her in her highchair? It's the only time she is sitting still!

It's a good thing she's so dang cute.
This girl has patented the 'laugh/cry'. I have never seen or heard of another baby who will have tears come down her face while smiling. It's the weirdest thing ever. If you click on this picture you will see the tears on her face. She is playing me like a fiddle!
Another thing that she has learned; or rather NOT learned; is that if she grabs the edge of her tray her fingers get stuck. She can't quite figure out how to get them out yet. So, she will cry until you come and save her. Then she will give you that beautiful smile that makes it harder to give her away to the gypsies.
Playing on the front lawn waiting for Daddy to get home. This is her 'I'm going to get into something' smirk. Then she found a rock and put it in her mouth.
Her third molar is coming in. It is weird that she only has her two upper and two lower central incisors and yet her molars are coming in. I thought molars were the last to break through. They say that if adults had to go through the teething process that we would need morphine for the amount of pain they go through. Can I have some morphine while Addison goes through it? PRETTY PLEASE?

An annoying eye twitch
The lower right corner of my right eye has been twitching now for 48 hours. They say it's from lack of sleep or from stress. I say it's because Addison's bloody teeth STILL haven't come through. I would like to refer you to this post which was back in January. JAN-U-ARY! They looked pretty painful then! So, I decided to pin her down again and make her let me take pictures of these monstrous teeth that have been looming for over 4 months. FOUR MONTHS. In baby terms- it's a third of their life! I swear these teeth will be the death of me.
We've been trying to get her to chew on anything that would help roughen up the gums to help break them up. I just feel so bad for her. I am making sure that she is getting Motrin and Tylenol rotated every 3 hours. And Ambesol. Lots and lots and LOTS of maximum strength Ambesol. You must click on this photo to make it full screen for maximum effect. Would it be weird if I got out an exacto knife?? NO! I would NEVER do it! Unless advised by a medical professional. Then I totally would.
