Lance turns 8!

Lance turned 8 this year! We had a small family party on Friday and he was baptised on Saturday. Mimi and PopPop flew all the way from South Carolina to be here! Grandma and Grandpa flew all the way from Colorado to be here but then they got sick so they couldn't come.  : (

Our oven broke the day before we were supposed to bake his cake (of course) so instead of Funfetti cake and icing he had to settle for a Walmart cake. It was pretty and it tasted good so we were ok.

He ended up with some pretty cool stuff and 2 Mario shirts!

I can't believe my Lance is 8!!

Erin turns 5!

We celebrated Erin's 5th birthday while we were at Lauren's house. Lauren put together a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse cake and let Erin decorate her own cupcake.

She ended up getting some Littlest Pet Shop toys and  a camera (she had taken 275 pictures before we left).

Grandma gave her a fleece balnket that says, "I love Grandma". She's had it in her bed every night since!

She had been asking for a Pillow Pet for months and was overjoyed to get it!

Happy Birthday Baby!

Thanksgiving in Colorado 2010

This is B.C. the day we left for Lauren's house in Colorado.

This is Wyoming as we drove through it.

But once we got to Colorado it was sunny and in the 40's and 50's.

I made a centerpiece for the table (flower design class!!).

Since great, great, great, great Grandma Clark was there we decided to take our 4 generation pictures. Great Grandma Clark, Grandma, Mom and Grey.

Great Grandma, Grandma, Mom and Lance.

Great Grandma, Grandma, Mom and Erin.

I have a 4 generation picture with my mom, grandma and great grandma. It's a neat thing to have and a great tradition to continue! Cheesing with Grandpa!

Then the cousins got to play!

Poor Grey! He's the oldest cousin by 7 years! He did really well with the little ones.

Matching blue eyes!

Ammon is a year younger but the same size as Erin.

2, 4, 3

We had a lot of fun, a great meal and some awesome shopping! Thanks for letting us come and visit!

Jasper the Cat

Meet Jasper:

Jasper and Jackson are friends.

They play together.

He's our new cat. And we love him!
 (Bless you Lauren.)

Halloween 2010

For Halloween this year...

Grey was a shade...

Erin was a Princess...

Lance was a cowboy (complete with mustache)...

They were soooo not interested in taking pictures!

Happy Halloween!!

Singing of a Sunday

Sunday was the Ward Primary Program. Everyone said their parts perfectly. The Koyle family even had a song to sing! They did a great job!!
It's getting cold and it's been raining/sleeting. Snow's in the forcast this week!

The Kitchen Remodel

Mom and Dad showed up the week before my Disney trip with all of my brother-in-law's tools to help revamp my kitchen. As you can tell it was greatly needed!! We sanded the doors, added trim, painted everything cream and added crown molding. Dad even built a garbage can roll out holder and shelves for the giant hole next to the oven. I didn't think about before pictures until after we'd taken off the handles and started sanding but you get the idea.

Now the kitchen is fantastic! It makes the whole house look more expensive. We sanded, cut, painted, puttied, papered, and rehinged till we couldn't move!!  Thanks mom and dad for a week's worth of hard work!!

I promise to clean off the counters before we put the house on the market!

Lance's Wells Fargo

Lance's teacher asked each student to build a replica of a building in Brigham out of a box. We chose the Wells Fargo building downtown. It's been there since the 1800's and it's distinctive. This is what Chad and Lance came up with. A picture of the actual building is at the bottom.

I have to say they did a great job!!

Disney World Magic Kingdom & Hollywood Studios

On day 2 of our trip we were at the Magic Kingdom at rope drop. I really had a hard time not crying every time I saw the characters. There was a big song and greeting from the Disney characters as the train pulled up and then we were off!

They had their fall/Halloween decorations up so it was even more festive than usual!

We rode the Space Mountain and then Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. (Where yes...I beat Christina in the number of shooting points.)

The Laugh Floor was similar to Turtle Talk with Crush (see day 1) but with more interaction with the audience.

My favorite thing about Disney is the attention to detail. If you take the time to look, it really is beautiful.

This was the emblem on the garbage cans!!

Mickey was having his kitchen remodeled...this is what my kitchen looked like a few days ago.

Around one we returned to our resort and had lunch and took a nap. At 3:30 we headed over to Hollywood studios for our dinner reservations at 4:30 and Fantasmic!

We had dinner at Hollywood and Vine as part of the Fantasmic Dinner Package.

We saw Darth Vader battling new Jedi recruits at the Jedi training school.

We managed to get into the last showing of the Muppet 3-D Tour.

We knew when we came into the park so late that we wouldn't be able to ride any of the big attractions without MAJOR waits (if you'll notice below the wait time is anywhere from 30 to 80 minutes). So while we waited for Fantasmic to start we got some ice cream and sat on a bench and people watched. It was a very pleasant way to spend an evening.

Because we got the Fantasmic Dinner Package we were allowed to enter a special line to get to our seats in the out door theatre. This was our line. Keep in mind 8 thousand people were lined up 2 hours ago on the other side of the park. We walked into our place 45 minutes early.

Our reserved seating area:

It was almost impossible to get good pictures of the show but as always it was Fantasmic!

So there is a very abbreviated version of our trip to Disney World. I recommend the Kona Cafe in the Polynesian Resort Hotel for dinner, http://www.tourguidemike.com/ for the best experience over all, and ending on a bang with Fantasmic!
