Here is a tribute to my Grandpa Arlo Maxwell, who died on Saturday, March 8th. He was such a spiritual, fun, loving Grandpa. I will always remember his tools, those little toys he carved for us kids for Christmas, his stories about angels, his connection with Elder Neal A. Maxwell, our big family reunion in 2000, and visiting them in Las Vegas often. We will miss him!

The Volleyball Saga continues...

Thanks for all your comments on what I should do at my volleyball games. Now I need to tell you what happened last week. So, this "leader" wasn't there during the first game, before we divided into two courts, and most of the people there were "A" team people, so I was playing with them and having a lot of fun. In the meantime some more "B" team people had showed up so after the first game, we had enough to divide into A and B courts. So I told one of the A players that I was going to the A side today. They didn't say anything against it. So I thought I was good to go! But right at that moment, the unnofficial "leader" walks in, sees that we're all splitting up now, and a B team person yells, "Kera, are you playing on the A side today? We need some more B team players." And I said, "I want to play on the A team today." Another B team person says, "Kera, don't we all want to be on the A team?" So now I'm feeling kind of guilty, because the B team really does always need more players. But the leader hears what's going on, and she says, in front of everyone, "No, Kera stays on the B side." Now can you guess what I did? I stayed on the B side. I know, I know, I wimped out. But I just didn't feel like standing up to her in front of everyone! What would you have done in that situation? I mean, I was getting pressure from the B side to stay with them, and the A side would have been fine except for this leader. If this happens again, do you think I should just stand up to her in front of everyone, in a nice way?

Finally! Gluten free bread that tastes good!

Jenny Johnson, I don't know if you read my blog often, but here's a big thank you for giving me your breadmaker! I finally found a good recipe to make gluten-free bread in the breadmaker and tried it today. It was so easy and the bread tastes WONDERFUL! Julianna loves it and it just came out beautifully. I am so excited to use it every week. Here is a picture of my gorgeous bread. I was so excited that I had to share it with all of you. I wish I could give you a piece!

New Look for Spring

Well, it's about time I changed my blogger layout! The dark colors were becoming depressing. Since spring and Easter are around the corner, I thought I'd choose "love of pastels" as my layout for now. Enjoy!
