They crack me up...they always get dressed up funny and are on there way to do something crazy! Austin thought he was pretty funny putting his socks over his shoes?!

Our Garden

We attempted to have a garden this year. Reed spent every weekend for two months swinging a pick at our hard ground filled with clay and rock. He finally had a little spot ready and we planted butternut squash, cucumbers, green beans, tomatoes, peppers, zucchini and yellow squash.

The cucumbers did pretty good. We ate a lot of them.

We ate quite a bit of yellow squash and zucchini before this lovely family moved to town and destroyed the plants. But we did enjoy what we had.

We have not been overloaded with tomatoes but we have had some here and there to enjoy.

This is the first time I have had stuff to bottle. So, thanks to a few other gardens we were able to bottle a bunch of pickles, grape juice, tomatoes and Salsa. Then I ordered a box of peaches from Utah and bottled some, made peach jam and we ate the rest...they were so good! Here is some of the stuff I bottled.
Austin is now brave enough to catch lizards. He came running in the house so proud because he actually caught it and of course I came running after him to get out of the house before it squirmed away!

Potty Training

Yeah! Its over, its finished! Cayden is potty trained. Once I convinced him with this cool toy that sitting on the toilet wasn't that bad...he did the rest on his own. We have all been so proud of him! Today I was cutting some flowers in front of the house and I looked over and Cayden had dropped his pants and was aiming for the road :) An old couple that lives across the street just happened to be driving by at the same time. I couldn't tell if they were laughing or if they were disgusted? Oh well, I guess we need to work on that now.
