Flu shot time for this guy. He was pleasantly surprised when he didn't have to get a shot and was able to do the Flumist nasal spray instead. This is his happy/excited face:)
First time feeding baby food (other than rice cereal) to Reid. We started with the yummy green stuff...green beans (3/12/14)
His face says it all! Reid does NOT like green beans! How dare we put that it in his mouth!;)
In between bites, he seemed to be coming around so we kept feeding him.
But, after each bite, a face like this was the result.
This one is the BEST! He is the first of our 4 boys to despise green beans! All of our boys have loved rice cereal and pretty much all of the baby foods...not this cute boy!
"Not another bite mom!"
He wanted to take matters into his own hands;)
Nope, still not any better when he feeds himself.
We were laughing so hard so he managed to crack a few smiles:)
This is where he couldn't handle it anymore!
Last bite!
Ok sweet baby, no more green beans today:)
This is Dane's newest game where he plays "birthday party." He pulls out all of my gift bags and fills them with toys from around the house and he and Beau "give" them to each other:)
It keeps them entertained, so I can't complain:)
This boy is such a thinker. I love his creative play.
Dane calls Reid "Our Special Little Guy" and "Our Little Angel Baby." I think both of those titles are
vey fitting for our Reidy Roo:)
I love how much all three of his older brothers absolutely adore him!
Blurry pictures are the result of trying to get my energetic hooligans to hold still for 1 second! We just got out of a movie, so they had some energy to burn off. Surprisingly, all 4 of the boys do incredibly well in movies as long as it is a GOOD movie:) Luckliy, "The Croods" held their attention very nicely. We love taking our boys to the movies...so fun for everyone!
Having 4 busy boys is challenging to say the least, but seeing the love they have for each other warms my heart like no other. I am beyond thankful for all 4 of my amazing little boys. So blessed and humbled that I get to be their mom:)
This kids LOVES Paradise Bakery and will beg to go there every day! He was one happy boy when we went there for dinner after the movie:)
We have wanted to take our kids to Freestone Park for a long time, but have never gotten around to it until today. The fun little carnival rides, train ride, and play grounds did not disappoint!
That smile!
After many attempts, I finally got all 3 looking AND smiling...IT'S A MIRACLE!!!
He loves kisses from daddy:)
The train ride was a huge hit!
Reid loved the wind blowing on his face:)
After the play ground, they played a little soccer.
The boys had a blast at this park! It is always fun to explore new places:)
I'm still amazed at how well Reid can hold his own bottle! I don't think his older brothers held their bottles until around 9 months+. It is crazy how different each and every one of them are and I love that:)
Sly guy:)
Boys ARE awesome!!!
Look at those rolls!
This onesie was too cute to pass up a photo shoot:)
I am fat, sweet, & cute. What more could you ask for? (7 months)
His face is priceless! He loves those kisses!!!
Yay! Ampa came to visit!!! My dad calls every new baby in the family his "BFF" and "The Bestest Baby there Ever Was." Reid is no exception!
The boys have been wanting to try a new sport for sometime, so we signed them up for flag football. Luckily, Logan, Dane, and their cousin Trent were able to play on the same team! Here they are at practice. Go Daners!!!
Daners is loving this!
Ampa and his "BFF" came to watch the practice:)
Reidy adores his Ampa:)
Log's turn to be the quarterback!
Flu shot time for Mr. Smiley:) (3/19/14)
Yes, he's eating the paper after he completely ravaged it!
Don't worry, I didn't let him swallow it:)
Such a cute bug! He handled his shot like a champ!
We all love it went Ampa visits so much!
The pool is still kinda cold, but that doesn't stop these wild boys!
So, Dane has been complaining about stomachaches for sometime now and has been going potty quite frequently. This caused us to be suspicious of a possible Celiac Disease trigger since he was showing potential symptoms. So, the only way to test for it is with a blood test. Of all of the boys, Dane has the absolute lowest pain threshold. He will scream bloody murder over the slightest ailment. Bless his heart, he had no idea where he and I were headed. When we arrived, I decided to break the news to him in the parking lot to avoid a total melt down in the lab. He freaked out way more than I had anticipated and kept saying he was going to die if they take his blood! Poor guy:( After about 10 minutes of coaxing and explaining how and why we are doing this, he agreed to do it with two conditions that I proposed to him: 1) He gets to bring in his blankie to protect him 2) He gets to pick out a toy at Walmart. He agreed, but I still had to practically drag him in. In the waiting room, he had to sit on my lap (something he doesn't do too often anymore) and quietly whimpered and caressed his blankie the entire time we waited. Poor little sweetheart was so scared he was shaking, but was trying so hard to be brave. As soon as he met the nice phlebotomist, all of his nerves went away! She was so good with him and did an amazing job taking his blood. Before he knew it, he was done and sporting this cool bandage!
He was in great spirits and said it didn't hurt. I'm so proud of my brave boy!!!
This was his special toy! He definitely earned it! About a week later, we got the test results back and it was negative!!! No Celiac Disease for this boy at least not yet! Currently, daddy is still the only one in the fam. Phew! Daners almost had to give up his faves, Pb&J and Velveeta Shells & Cheese;)
First case of pink eye for this guy...poor baby:( He was prescribed Vigamox (3/19/14)
First Flag Football game for these cute boys! They are all suited up, mouth guards and all, and ready to play! (3/20/14)
Logi played quarterback and made some good runs!
They didn't win, but they sure had fun playing!
Uncle Sam even came to watch!!! Yay! They were so excited to see him!
Mr. Roly Poly Oly!!! This boy LOVES to roll around to his desired location and blow raspberries all along the way! (we have a great video of this 3/28/14)
Still attempting baby food. After not liking ANY of the vegetables except for kinda liking sweet potatoes, we were onto the fruits. He likes pears and peaches fine, but applesauce...forget about it!!!
He is not a apple sauce fan! (3/26/14)
We always find Beau sleeping in the weirdest locations and positions. This time the floor was his bed of choice. Silly goose!
I had to buy this storage container to hold all of Beau's many stuffed animals since his room was getting out of control. He insists on having ALL of his stuffed animals sleep with him! So, I put this on his bed every night then zip it up and slide it under his bed in the morning. NO wonder he sleeps on the floor...his stuffed animals have taken over!
Potty training time for Beau Beau! Yay, my favorite!;) (3/27/14) Since he has been trying to potty train himself for months now, (he asks to go pee on the potty all the time and does it perfectly) it was definitely time! Slacker parents, I know;) He is just barely 3 though!;)
We always throw a "Potty Party" which mainly consists of decorations (balloons) and lots of treats throughout the day for every time he goes potty. He will also get a toy when he goes #2.
He was LOVING his potty party and LOVED his big boy undies!
Surprisingly, this boy wanted to go #2 first and got that right out of the way first thing!!! He even wanted to wipe himself! WHAT?!? CRAZY!!! That is usually the hardest part! Not with this guy! He was MORE than ready and basically potty trained himself! Easiest potty training experience to date! I guess waiting until they are 3 and REALLY ready is golden!
Dane was enjoying the "Potty Party" too:)
He is so darling in those undies!
Such a silly boy!
My kids are obsessed with balloons!
We also use a "Potty Watch" that plays a song every 30 minutes to remind him to go potty.
Between the "Potty Party" and the "Potty Watch" Beau was basically potty trained in one day with very few accidents. He even night trained super fast too! He wore a Pull-up all but 2 nights and woke up dry every morning. He hasn't worn one since and has wet the bed only once so far. Who is this kid?!? We will definitely take it! Best potty trainee EVER!!! We are SO proud of our little potty trained Beau Beau! Yay for only having one child in diapers now!!! Woohoo!!!
Since Reidy Roo was exploding from his bassinet, it was time to put him in his crib (3/27/14).
We usually don't wait so long (7 months) for the crib transition, but we had to get Beau out of the crib and into his new big boy bed. Also, we wanted to wait until we potty trained Beau to fully make all of the transitions. So many milestones! My babies are growing up!:( I will miss having my sweet little boy in our room...tear:(
But, this guy was ready for a bigger bed and slept like a champ his first night!
It is always sad to end the bassinet phase. Just another sign that my little baby is getting bigger. Until next baby (Heavenly Father willing), bye bye bassinet...you have served us well! (tear)
