FeBrUaRy 2012

February is quite the month for us.  We have Taylor's birthday, Valentine's Day, Brynlee's birthday, and Ryker's birthday all within a week of each other.  February is usually one of my favorite months, but I can say without doubt that it is my least favorite month now.  That sounds terrible, but it's true.  I am so busy with parties, and gift shopping, and such that it makes me a little stressed and tired.  But it's worth all the stress to see how happy everyone gets.

It's all about Ryker these days!  I feel like this blog has turned into a blog about Ryker, but he is at the age where every milestone and move he makes needs to be documented.  I promise I don't neglect my other children.

Here is my little cheese puff getting into the toy bin.

Someone really likes Mario.

Ryker loves to open and close the doors in the house, but when he can't open or shut the door he sticks his hands under the door to see if someone will put their hands under the door to play with him.  Tayson really enjoys when Ryker does this during quiet time so he has someone to play with.

After I scrub the tub clean I turn on the shower and leave it on for a few minutes to make sure all the chemicals are rinsed and forced down the drain.  I usually turn it on and turn around for a minute while it washes out.  I was a little surprised this last time to turn around and find this little fella in my shower.  This little stink LOVES the tub.

Ryker WILL NOT keep his socks on for anything.  I don't know why I even bother putting them on him.  He takes them off and puts them in his mouth like a puppy dog.

Taylor turned the BIG 30 this year.  I had all sorts of plans for him this year, but he made it very clear to me that he wanted NOTHING to do with a surprise party or anything extravagant.  So we kept it fairly low key.  He woke up and went to the gym and then came home and opened a gift.  Which consisted of a new golf shirt and hat and then we sent him on his way to the Golf Course with his dad.  After Golf he came home and opened up a few more gifts which consisted of more clothes and then we sent him off to get a massage.  After the massage we opened more presents which consisted of work clothes (boring I know), had cake and Ice Cream and then we let him relax on the couch to watch basketball on his new 60 inch tv.  Later that evening we went to dinner at Red Lobster and then bowling with friends.  It was pretty low key, but he really enjoyed it.

Brynlee loves to dress up, and when she dresses up she goes all out and a little crazy too.  Here she is reading scriptures in all her funkiness.

LOVE THIS CRAZY KID.

With all of February's craziness I tried to do a little something for Taylor for Valentine's to show him I cared.  We decided not to do anything for each other because it's such a busy month, but I had to do a little something.  I wrote a cute poem and gave him a basket full of candy.  We didn't do much on Valentine's Day but we had a special dinner with the family and gave a little gift to the kids.

Brynlee turned 5!  Wow!  Brynlee turning 5 was a weird one for me.  She is such a fun kid to be around and we love her very much.

Brynlee had a Tangled themed birthday party with her friends.  Rapunzel made a special appearance and made Brynlee's day.  She had a great party!

We had to take Ryker up to Primary Children's Hospital to get an EEG done to check the activity in his brain.  His Dr. will evaluate his results and hopefully (fingers crossed) take him off his seizure meds.

While up North we stayed with our dear friends Levi and Becca.  The kids had a FABULOUS time playing, and we had a great time talking and catching up with them.

Ryker turned 1!  We celebrated Ryker's first birthday with Matt and Ashley, Grandma Shelly and Grandpa Mike up North.  It was a good thing we were up North to keep me distracted.  I was not looking forward to my baby turning 1, but it was a good day.

My little cuddle bug all snuggled up in the laundry pile.

I wasn't sure if we were going to be home for Ryker's birthday or not but I had bought a few party supplies just in case we were home.  Well we weren't, but we had another little party for him when we got home so we could use the supplies and give him our gifts since we didn't take them up North.

I was really lame with his cake this year.

We got Ryker a Buzz Lightyear fold up chair and a Cozy Coupe Car.

I can't turn on the shower or the tub without Ryker tagging along.  He loves water.

Like I said, he LOVES water.

Kamryn's school had Dr. Seuss week and this is how we did her hair on Whacky Whoville hair day.

I can honestly say that I am sooooo happy to see February go.  It is such a stressful month for me, but also very fun.

We have a lot of changes in store for us in the next few months, so make sure to STAY TUNED :)
