Our BUSY month of March

First off Spring is ATTEMPTING to make it's way around up here in Northern Utah.  We have had some really BEAUTIFUL days and we have taken full advantage of those days and gone outside to play.  We always go out with a group of friends and find somewhere new to go each time we go out.  We found this really cute Castle Park that we all LOVED.  It really is probably one of the COOLEST parks I have ever seen.  It is a Medieval styled castle park and has all kinds of cool mazes, bouncy bridges, dragons, sandboxes, tire swings and lots more.
March has been a very busy month for Kamryn at preschool.  It has been filled with activites galore.  At the first of the month all the kids dressed up like clowns for a day.  I had NOTHING to use for a clown costume and felt so bad that I had nothing for her to wear and then I came up with  a cute little outfit for her and pulled out some craft paint (yup, craft paint is what I used on her face and surprisingly it works really well and comes off pretty easy).  She looked really cute and had so much fun.  The following week all the kids got to have a pajama party and wear pajama's to school.  She was sooooooo excited for this day and talked about it for weeks.  The following week after the pajama party was St. Patty's day.  I ATTEMPTED to paint a four leaf clover on her face and it really did not work at all, but she didn't notice one bit.  We made a GREEN breakfast and let me just tell you that I COMPLETELY LOST MY APPETITE when I saw the breakfast.  If anyone wants a good diet I suggest you put green food coloring in your food to help you lose your appetite. hehe  It certainly did not look EDIBLE to me but the kids LOVED it.  Lastly Kamryn's preschool class had a field trip to the Fire Station.  Kamryn's preschool is about 1 block from our house and the Fire Station is right behind our house.  So it worked out perfectly.  I walked out the door as the kids were walking to the Fire Station and I was able to go with her on the field trip.  Brynlee and Tayson were in HEAVEN with all the kids and Fire Trucks.  They learned a lot of good things and were so excited to get Firemen hats and to be able to walk through an Ambulance and Fire Truck.
I have a friend who recently had a baby boy and I needed a small gift to give her so I made her a cute little wipes case cover.  Taylor's cousin's wife is due in a few months and she was having a baby shower and I also needed a gift for her so I made her a wipes case cover, a few bibs and burp rags.  I had tons of fun making them and think they turned out pretty cute.  For Family Home Evening one night I came up with an idea for an activity and we made some cute snowmen out of marshmallows, frosting, sprinkles,Oreo's, and pull n peel licorice.  Kids LOVED it and they were fairly easy to make.
Brynlee has got an OBSESSION with bandaids and any time she has a small "OWIE" she climbs the counter and gets only a FEW bandaids (sarcasm).  Only 1 for each finger.  Brynlee also has a tough time getting herself to sleep at night.  She does great at nap time but when it's night time she can't go to sleep.  I allow the girls to grab a handful of books and read themselves to sleep.  Kamryn after a few minutes usually falls asleep but little miss Brynlee finds ways to keep herself busy.  She only pulls out EVERY TOY that is in her sight, throws them on her bed, plays for a few minutes, then leaves Kamryn to sleep in the mess while she sneaks in mommy and daddy's room and CRASHES on the floor.  Wonderful right?  Mmmm..not so much!  The girls have been in dance since the beginning of September and didn't have their dance uniform for 4 whole months.  Costumes were paid for, we just didn't get them.  Backordered supposedly.  But for 50 bucks a piece I was pretty ticked and a little annoyed at how cheap looking they were.  At least give me a little something sparkly, fancy and fun.  Instead they got a leotard, a skirt, and a hair tie and that was it.  No tights, and no shoes.  Thought 50 bucks was a little pricey for something I could have easily made myself for 10 bucks.  Oh well, what ya gonna do?!?!

Taylor took the bar exam at the end of February and 2 days after the test he went to work for his first day and not as a student anymore.  Woo Hoo!  He had to have a picture with his best friend MR. MT. DEW who has gotten him through these rough 2 1/2 years of intense studying.  Glad it's over!  Unfortunately it takes 2 months to get your results for the bar so as of right now we are still waiting for those results and let me just tell you.......IT'S PAINFUL to have to wait for those results.  But on another note, he received his Diploma in the mail and that was a COOL feeling and also felt UNREAL to see that in writing.  We are hoping to get that framed soon so he can put it in his office.  Anyone willing to DONATE for that?  haha

We had a great and eventful month until we received the news that Taylor's sweet, sweet grandfather had passed away.  He was such a generous, kind, loving man.  We will miss him so much and are sad that our kids will not have the chance to get to know him better.  It doesn't seem fair that in a month and a half we have had to attend 2 funerals of 2 people who we both were very, very close to.  It can be devastating, but it has also strengthened us so much and it has made me closer to my Heavenly Father and has made me rethink things and ponder.  This life can be so INCREDIBLE and we should not take ADVANTAGE of it.
Gotta LOVE Brynlee's face, oh and the gum too.
How about these outfits?!?!  My word they are adorable.  Thanks to my mom who got them these adorable outfits for the funeral.

The funeral was in St. George and then 2 days after the funeral Grandpa was buried in Midway close to where he grew up.
Tayson's middle name is Levi.  We decided to use that name since Levi North (who is Taylor's Great Great Great Great Grandfather, phew) was the first person in the family to become a member of the church and because of him the rest of the North clan has also become members.  Well, while we were in Midway for the burial, we came across Hyrum North's graveside who is Levi's son.  We had to set Tayson next to the graveside and snap a picture.  Taylor and I want to find the graveside of Levi North sometime soon.  It has very special meaning to our family.
Taylor's cousin Devan and his wife Carrie, Taylor and his dad.  I have more pictures of the family but if I added the rest of the pictures on here this post would never end.
Even though we were in St. George under crappy circumstances it was nice to be with family and see family we haven't seen in awhile, to be in warm weather, see friends, and ENJOY the Beauty that surrounded us.  The last few times we have been in St. George Taylor and I keep telling each other how much we want to just go out the two of us and hike and enjoy nature, and we have yet to do it so I am making a pact right now that the next time we go to sunny southern utah we will go on a nature hike.  Deal? Ok, Deal!
Until next time folks!

A Great Giveaway and a few questions?!?!?!?!

My friend Errin Andrus is doing a photography giveaway.  She does an AMAZING job and works very hard.  Check out her new blog/website and see what she has to offer.  www.errinandrusphotography.com/blog

And on another side note I am in need of some SERIOUS suggestions.  This is the year that I hoped wouldn't creep up on me too fast and unfortunately it came WAY too fast.  My sweet little Kamryn is ready for kindergarten.  She is one smart little cookie and learns things very quickly and loves to learn new things.  BUT..........I can't decide if the time is right for her or not?!?!?!?  I am NOT one of those moms who is EAGER to get my child to kindergarten for my own selfish reasons.  I love my kids and love having them at home with me.  In fact, sending them to school kinda breaks my heart.  It will be a BITTER SWEET day for me.  But I also do not want to be one of those moms who keeps her at home for my own selfish reasons.  Taylor and I have been back and forth on whether we should send Kamryn to kindergarten or not.  If we send her this year she will be the youngest and if we wait until next year she will be the oldest.  My problem is that I fear if I wait until next year she will struggle with kindergarten and be completely bored with it because she already knows everything they will be trying to teach her.  I have been working a little with her on sounding out words and she is doing really well with it.  She has already had one year of preschool and if we wait she would get two years of preschool. Which I think could be too much and she would be doing the SAME thing in kindergarten over again.  But if we put her in this year I fear that the teenage years will come to HAUNT me.  Yep, we will be the traditional Mormon parents who will not allow her to date until she is sixteen.  So that would mean NO DATING, NO DANCES, and NO DRIVING until a whole year after all her friends will be doing so.  But if we put her in next year she will be the oldest and drive and date before everyone else.  Which I think is ok.  Cause she will have PLENTY of older boys to date and being the first to drive will be fun.  I HATED waiting to drive and date.  What do you guys think?  Oldest or youngest?
