Sitting on the barstools at breakfast yesterday, Becca put her arm around Nathan and said, "Come on, Baggy-buddy ... let's get back to where we belong!" It was so random that everyone broke into laughs, even Sam, who was laying awake upstairs in his bed. (They got the "Jungle Book" movie for Christmas.)
Anytime you ask little Sam what's in his toenails, he excitedly says, "DIRT!" (and this kid can't talk yet)
I heard Becca in the bathroom struggling to get her pants back on. Frustrated, she yelled, "These pants are not obeying me!!!!!"
One day in the car, Nathan asked me what I thought about Spiderman. Having never seen it, I said I don't know. He quickly informed me that I didn't know because I was only 25. "Dad will know ... he's 26!" Apparently that one year makes a pretty big difference in one's movie knowledge.
"But I don't have any green pants!!!" (said distressed Nathan, the night before St. Patricks Day. We quickly assured him that he had plenty of green shirt options and that would be sufficient)
"If you cry, LAUGH!" (whispered by Nathan into Becca's ear shortly after she finished throwing a fit ... very wise, if you ask me!)

All I wanted was four smiling children at the same time, is that too much to ask? Last minute Christmas card photos are not easy.
