Living in California!
Well I know that I haven't updated in a long time, but we, as a family, have been very busy. We have actually executed military orders, and are now living in California. We left Colorado on May 1st and spent about a week in Utah making the rounds to visit everyone. We were lucky enough to be there during the time the baby Korver Machai (my sister Jen & husband Michael's) baby was born. We stopped in Vegas on the way to Califoria and braved the 107 temps to let Sierra sleep in a castle (Excalibur hotel). We arrived in California on May 11th and got a hotel. The next day we went and saw a couple houses, and found the one that we are now living in. That was on Tuesday, by Friday the movers were here delivering our household goods, and now we are, and will be for a while, surrounded by boxes. We have managed to organize our main living living space, but the bedrooms, and dining room, and closets, and everywhere else is just a mess. I will upload pictures soon.

Last week we made the decision as a family to buy a new car. We had a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, special edition that we traded in. Knowing that we will probably be getting orders to move sometime in the upcoming months we wanted to have a vehicle that was under full warranty, and we were almost out of warranty on our Jeep. We bought a 2009 Dodge Journey. The Dodge Journey is a cross-over SUV with a 3rd row of seats. The great thing is that ALL the passenger seats fold completely flat, there is a ton of storage, luggage rack, electrical outlet for 150V items, a cooler in the glove box. Storage bins in the floor of the back seat that are water proof, and can be used as a cooler filled with ice. It also has auto stick which is a nice feature; you can either use the automatic feature or you can shift manually. We are quite pleased with this purchase, and also feel really good to know that we have a full warranty that will last for a long time.
The official color is Graphite, it's sort of in between grey, and silver. And even has a hint of blue when the sun hits it.

Today was a day off from school for Sierra so we decided to take a trip to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. This is one of Sierra's favorite activities to go and do. It was a day for just the girls since J.R. was working. First we made our way to the Discovery Zone. The Discover Zone is a room geared toward children, and learning through exploration, and hands on activities. Sierra loves playing the piano, finding out what happens when you mix different liquids, doing a puppet show, and dancing to different types of music from around the world.

Even more than these things she enjoys making bubbles, but c'mon who doesn't?

Sierra became an astronaut in training.

We learned about how water can shape the land

Learning about Ancient Egypt

I often think of the movie "Look Who's Talking" when I watch my babies. I wonder what they are thinking of me as I am acting silly, which sadly is more often than not. LOL! I'm hoping they are entertained, but they could be making fun of me in their cute little heads. Myah kept doing this all day at the museum and I am sure that she was thinking "Oh BROTHER! What have I gotten myself into, these two are nuts!" LOL!

Merry Christmas
I know this post is coming very very late, but as it's been said, "Better late than never." Christmas was really great for us this year. We were able to spend the day with just our little family, with out the stress of entertaining, or traveling. We love our family, but it is also nice to sometimes just stay home for the Holidays. Sierra is at a really fun age for Holidays. She has spent the last month or so talking about what she would ask Santa Claus for, and I am happy to report that Santa came through this year; even though she came in with a last minute request for a red dinosaur Santa still pulled through. Even it was by the skin of his teeth on Christmas Eve. :)
We enjoyed a nice meal together on Christmas Eve, and I had put together a breakfast casserole that night so that we could have a nice hot meal Christmas morning without a lot of hassle. We had a great time. I just was to express especially to everyone how grateful I am for my Savior, Jesus Christ. We were sure to teach our little ones why we give presents to eachother on this holiday. That we are celebrating our Savior's birthday. Sierra thought this was really neat. We hope that everyone had a great holiday season.
