Learning so fast!

The stage that Kyle is in right now is so much fun! He is learning new words everyday, and you can almost see the thought processes going on in his head, as he figures out a problem. Here is a video of his new words. Its really cute because he mixes his own cute babble, in with real words, and sign language.

Now, I'm not such a fan of the physical leaps that this little boy goes through each day. There really is a huge difference between boys and girls. Kyra never was a climber, even now she really isn't. The only thing Kyle hasn't climbed to the top of, is the roof of the house! Yesterday, I left the room long enough to use the restroom, and I found him SITTING ON THE STOVE, with a bag of hamburger buns, which he chewed a hole through. And he proceeded to take a bit out of each bun! I asked him "What on earth are you doing." He in a grunting cave man type way says "Hungry."
Today, Karl walked into the bathroom and he was SITTING IN the sink, with the water on! He asked him what he was doing. He did the sign for washing hands.

Despite the near heartattack episodes that I have a million times a day with my little guy, he really is such a fun kid!

4th and 4th

This was a cute I idea I got from my friend Melissa. You open the file, on your computer, where all of your pictures are stored. You then open the fourth folder, and pick the 4th picture, and write about it. This was mine:
He recently relized that the more food he gets on his hair, face, hands, elbows, knee pits, fingers, up his nose, in between his toes, under his chin, on the table, on the dog, on the wall, on his clothes, on his booster, on daddy, well you get the idea, the more he can get Kyra to laugh at him! Really I think his shirt says it all. Now I tag Renna H, Pamela L, Stephanie B, Rachael B, and Erin D!

Whooo Yoooo!!!

You won't believe what I got for my birthday, from my in-laws..A CRICUT! I can't believe it. I'm so excited. I want to set up the cricut in a nice, clean, safe place. Now...our computer room is a distaster...and not just a little one. So I made a deal with myself that I can't play with it, until the computer room is clean. The few people that have seen this room are probably saying "That's so nice that your inlaws got you such a great gift, and you will never, ever use it, because the room is uncleanable". I say "Begin to fear dust bunnies, and piles of junk that now inhibit the room, your time is no more! I will use me cricut by the end of the week!"

Kyra's Dancing Debut

On Friday night was Kyra's ballet recital. We were a little anxious to see what she would do when she got on stage. She had a hard time focusing during classes (she was only 2!), and she does get a little bit shy in big groups. But she did GREAT!!! Here are a couple cute pictures from the night. Here she is with her buddy Bailee. Cheezing it up!

Sorry its a little blurry.

Looking for true love!Getting her certificate of participation.Grandma and Grandpa brought the star some flowers!
Here are here two dances. On this one, she is the furthest to the right. For the second dance on the video she is on the far left.

After the recital, we went out to dinner. She was so excited from her birthday party that morning, and the recital that she didnt' got to bed until almost 11 PM, and still woke up at 6 AM! Come naptime this afternoon, she CRASHED. She woke up 4 hours later!!!

Birthday Extravaganza Week!

It has been birthday extravaganza week. On Sunday, Grandma and Grandpa came for a little family party. A sweet friend from Church made Kyra a "I'm a Child of God" tile. She loves it! Thanks Erin! (I know its upside down...just didn't notice in time.)She has been dying for a Jasmine dress up for the last couple of months. Luckily the Disney store rolls out their Halloween costumes in September. She also got from the grandparents she also got some clothes, some books, a Princess scrapbook, and some Jasmine accesories.Karl's mom also made Kyra these super cute cupcakes, that Kyra can pretend to bake in her kitchen! And then she got a little bathtub to wash her babies in. Here Kyra is wearing her new Princess jacket, her Jamine outfit, and her Sleeping Beauty shoes. Here is Kyra enjoying making a mess of her birthday cake. And Kyle in shocked horror.
In the past the cakes that I have made have been pretty easy...Elmo, Cars, and Clifford. They didn't take that long, and they were pretty easy. So when Kyra asked for a Princess Castle I said, "Hey why not? Lets give it a try" It took FOREVER. On the morning of the party I was quickly getting frustrated, and stopped working on it in the middle, and had a little pity party. Kyra came over and while giving me a hug said "Its the most beautiful cake I've ever seen!" I'm glad she loved it! Kyra had a great time at her party. I asked Karl if we could just move so I didn't have to clean up.

It was such a fun week!

Happy Birthday My Baby Girl!

Kyra is three today! She is the most vibrant, happy, energetic, funny, cute, sweet little girl ever. We can't imagine our lives without her, and are blessed, and thankful that we were chosen as her parents. I am the queen of nicknames...so here are all of hers! We love our baby girl, our moo moo, our leprechan, our ladybug, our Kit (as part of Kit Kat), and our cutie patoot!

Random Fun!

We had so much fun in Disneyland!! I know that alot of people say "Save your money because your kids won't remember Disneyland when they are 20 ,if you take them this young". I really disagree. There was so much to do and see. The shows were wonderful (The kids loved Alladin and Playhouse Disney). There were actually a ton of rides that they could go on (Their favorites being Buzz Lighyear Astro Blasters, Toy Story Mania, Winnie the Pooh, The Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Carribeain, and Monster's Inc.) Number 1 tip: Go after Labor Day. The longest we waited in any line was about 5 min! Tip number 2: Don't take your very loving, but sensitive little boy in the haunted mansion. But honestly, the best thing of all, the thing that Karl and I will remember, was the kiddos reaction to everything. Everything is so magical to them. It was great! Kyra just keeps talking about it non-stop. It was really cute...at the end of each day it seemed like she just had so much excitement and things to talk about she couldn't stand it. So she would ask to talk to grandma and grandpa and tell them about her day. Usually on the phone she would say "Hi. Love you. Bye" She talked EVERY NIGHT for about 20 minutes, and even then I had to force her to give me back the phone. So here is my last post about the "Happiest Place on Earth".

Here is the Kit-Kat Gang being silly in the Monster's Inc. car.

The kiddos loved Goofy, Mickey's and Minnie's House in Toontown. Especially Kyle because he could climb on everything. He had a great time. Here he is getting comfy in the Mouse's chair. Kyle even climbed on Minnie's kitchen table. Kyle couldn't get enough of Mickey's washing machine. It makes swooshing, and gurggly noises, and he kept trying to find out where it was coming from.Kyra seeing if there is anything good to eat in Minnie's fridge...lots of cheese:)They had a cake in Minnie's oven that would rise, and look like a frosted birthday cake, and then fall. The best part for Kyra, was the characters. Really, it was a million degrees, and Kyra was probably the millionth kid they had seen that day, but they really did such a good job with each kiddo. Here is Kyra getting Stitch's autograph. Pluto came sneaking up, and made the Shhhh sign to Kyra. Kyra started laughing and kept telling Stitch to look, but Stitch would look the other way, or act like he didn't know what Kyra was saying. He finally saw Pluto, jumped back surprised, and ran behind Kyra. She thought that was the funniest thing ever.
In California Adventure they had a forest area where Kenai and Koda lived. In this area there was the cutest little stream and cave that the kids could spash around in, but not get super wet. It was a pretty hot day, and it just instantly lifted the kids spirits.
They also have 2 other splash parks in California Adventure. Here is Kyle eyeballing the sprinklers.
The kids really like Goofy's Kitchen again. Here is the Goof doing a dance, and banging pots and pans with the kiddos.

Here is Kyra in Minnie's House, in front of her mirror, doing her hair and makup.

One of the last things we did was see the Pixar parade in California Adventure. It featured Mater and Lightening McQueen, Buzz, Woody, The Incredibles, Nemo, and Monsters Inc. Kyle was in heaven.

Here is Kyle trying to explain to Karl that the cars went that way, and trying to figure out why we weren't following them.

Well now we are back to real life. The kids are adjusting pretty well. They went through slight Daddy not being with them 24 hours a day withdrawls. Kyra has only asked 6 times (today) if we can go back to Disneyland tomorrow, and Kyle keeps walking around with the palms of his hands up asking "Where's Buzz". We can't wait until next time!

The Princesses!

Kyra was in awe by all the princesses. Luckily she didn't catch on that each princess looked different each time we saw them. We did Ariels Grotto this time. Its very simliar to Goofy's Kitchen, where the characters all come to you table and spend a few minutes talking with Kyra, except it was 5 different Princesses. She was particularly in love with Ariel, because Ariel called Kyra her long lost cousin! They also compared hair bows! Here is Kyra with Cinderella. And with Aurora.

And with Belle.
And Cinderella.
And Jasmine.
Disneyland also had a Princess area. The kiddos decorated their own crown, and they had story time with Belle. So we saw three of the princesses again. Kyra with Belle. Kyra with Cinderella.
And Jasmine.
Kyle was not as impressed by the princesses as Kyra. But he LOVED the Mac and Cheese. He would take a bite, and then lean back in the high chair and act like he was savoring every bite!
