The Iranian Dictator Mahmoud Achmadinejad has arrived in New York and is enjoying life at a local hotel. This Tuesday or Wednesday, he is due to give his speech at the UN. A date of special significance for the Jewish people, as we are going to celebrate YOM KIPPUR. The day where G - d is judging the Jews for a another year, and usually G - d does so with mercy (Rachamim) and kindness (Chesed).

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived last night at the Warwick Hotel in Midtown in advance of his annual hate-spewing address to the UN General Assembly on Wednesday — and The Post tried to deliver him a gift fit for a despot.

The anti-Semite’s special welcome basket — from New Yorkers with love — included such locally procured goodies as Gold’s Borscht, Manischewitz Gefilte Fish and smoked whitefish from the world-famous Murray’s Sturgeon House on the Upper West Side.

If Ahmadinejad (pronounced: I’m a dinner jacket) needed midnight munchies during his visit to this infidel city, there were also plenty of H&H bagels, onion bialys and Zabar’s cream cheese.

Lets assume that Israel is going to attack Iran's nuclear facilities. Then what ? Hasn't the Iran threatened our country with a severe counterattack ? 

We always hear about attacking Iran and destroying its nuclear plants but who is able to guarantee that such an attack is really going to destroy Iran's nuclear weapon archive. If I was Achmadinejad, I would move all important facilities, laboratories etc. to a secret place. If necessary, underground. 

This is why I am asking the question if any politician or army general is able to guarantee a success. Couldn't it be that Israel or / and the United States are attacking Iran and fail in destroying the plants ? What if Iran is launching a counter strike against Tel Aviv and further Israeli cities ? 

Today, Israel's Home Front Command (Pikud HaOref) exercised another drill and I heard the sirens this morning. Despite all kinds of drills, lets be honest: Who is really prepared for any wider attack on our country ? No matter if with conventional or unconventional rockets; let alone an atomic bomb. Almost every household in Israel has a private bomb shelter but the majority of those shelters is in terrible condition. Dirty, full of junk and mainly used as storage rooms. 

A city like Tel Aviv is totally overcrowded and buildings stand very close to each other. Israel is a tiny country and there isn't much space for building houses. Every little piece of space is used and many times, you can watch your neighbours through the window preparing food in the kitchen.

In general, the Israeli press as well as politician have been trying to stay away from the question "What is going to happen in case Iran is going to attack us ?" We simply don't have an answer nor can anyone say what kind of weapons Achmadinejad's country has or how an Iranian response is going to take place. On the one hand, politicians as well as the press love to panic sometimes. On the other hand, many Israelis feel completely save because our country has a strong army. 

To tell you the truth, I am not that sure and don't feel save. If Iran doesn't start an immediate counterattack, it may command the Hizbollah in Lebanon and the Hamas of doing so. We don't have to wait for an Iranian attack but should concentrate on our direct neighbours.

Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to the the AIPAC yesterday. My personal opinion is that Israel shouldn't concentrate too much on Iran but rather on Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan, as those countries are our direct neighbours and enemies.

Rabbi Israel Me'ir Gabbai from "Ohalei Zaddikim" succeeded in receiving a visa for Iran. He traveled to Teheran and further places and prayed at the graves of Habakuk, Mordechai and Esther, and further prophets. He says that there does exist a fear among Jews living in Iran and the situation is not that pleasant.

Among many other news sources, MEMRI reports that the Iranian authorities removed the sign of the grave of Esther and Mordechai in Hamadan / Iran. The famous grave has been on Achmadinejad's hate list for quite a while and it doesn't surprise me that now he is taking action. I bet that soon we will face the destruction of the gravesite and then Achmadinejad may claim that actually the Mossad is responsible. 

Iran justifies itself saying that on Purim, the Jews still celebrate the death of thousands of Iranians. Yes, this is basically true but it also shows that Iran hasn't understood the hidden message behind the Purim story. The same as the Nazis. When the anti - Semite and editor of the Nazi paper "Der Stürmer", Julius Streicher, was executed by the Allies in Nuremberg in 1946, he screamed out "Purimspiel - Purim Game !" 
Meaning, Achmadinejad has got the best company.

Tomorrow (Wednesday), the Iranian president Achmadinejad is starting his 3 - days - visit to Lebanon. He is scheduled to visit the Lebanese border to Israel and Achmadinejad got the great idea to throw some stones over the fence to Israel; his Zionist enemy.
