Happy Birthday Kelly!

Kelly's Birthday was Monday. After work we had him open a few presents. One of which was a pineata. The holder broke to hang it up so Kelly just threw it at the kids. It never really broke they finally just had to rip it apart. All the candy inside broke though. Then we went to dinner at Tepenyaki for dinner.

Christmas Decorating

I finally got all of my Christmas Decorations up. I put the tree up last Saturday and then didn't get to the rest of it until Thursday!
I have started to collect a lot especially with my Village. Kelly started the first year we were married and bought me the first house. Ever since then I have been collecting the same village. Some years I get several houses so Kelly calls it good and then doesn't get anymore. Right now I have thirteen houses so he is good for another couple of years!
Tonight we decorated a Gingerbread house. Gotta love the kits! Here are the boys with the finished project. I think Kelly and the boys ate as much candy as went on the house.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a really nice Thanksgiving Holiday.

Kelly's Dad Evan and his wife Sue Ann came and stayed with us Wednesday and Thursday nights.
The men started the day with the annual Thanksgiving day shooting. They seem to always enjoy that.

I kept the boys busy at home making turkey place card holders.
My Mom and Dad and my brother Cameron joined us for Thanksgiving dinner.

We had way more food than nine people can eat but that is pretty typical for Thanksgiving.

After dinner we played games and just had a nice time.
That night Kage lost his first tooth. It had been loose for a few days and Kelly finally got it out!

Friday we spent the day skiing/snowboarding. After a little of a rough start the boys had a great time in the afternoon. I think they boarded the best they ever had. It was a fun day. Saturday ended up being busy with shopping, playing games with friends, and setting up the Christmas tree. Kage lost his second tooth on the bottom.
Both of his top teeth are loose and will probably come out soon. In the mean time I have a lot more Christmas decorating to do! I hope you all had a great holiday!

Rockets

Yesterday we spent the morning out at UROC monthly rocket shoot. We all had rockets to shoot off that we had been working on for the last few weeks.
Kelly didn't get to shoot his big rocket off because he wasn't able to get ahold of any one to find his certification information.
While we were out at the shoot he got the information he need took and passed the test and now just has to pass the rocket flying part of the test. Maybe next month. Mom and Dad came out to shoot Dad's rocket that we gave him and he put together.
We had some fun and successful launches.
Kage lost a couple of fins on his last flight and David's parachute broke but things were pretty good compared to others.
One person out there wasn't so successful. This rocket went straight up and straight down.
The nose cone went about a foot in the ground.
We felt bad for him but were glad none of our rockets did that! (At least this time) There is a sane out at the shoots. There are two kinds of rockets those that have crashed and those that will crash.

Halloween

Halloween turned out to be quite a fun night. We had a fun day at school dressing up doing parties and costume parades. While we were at school Kelly was home getting the front porch ready. It turned out pretty cool. Last year Kelly hid in a coffin, the coffin had been sitting on the front porch for about three weeks so people were ready for him to jump out of it but he didn't he built a cool door to put on our regular door.
There were several people who were to scared to even come up to the door and skipped our house all together. Kage dressed up as "Black Spiderman", and David was Harry Potter.

First ride in months!

Kelly finally has permission from the doctor to ride the four wheelers. So yesterday we went for a quick ride in the deserts of five mile. We went geo-caching along the way. We found ten different caches. Although the scenarie was bland some of the views were great expecially from the ones we had to hike to. The weather was perfect for October! It was a fun ride for the afternoon

We were hiking up the hill to find a chache and the boys found this little ledge to sit on and take a break. (The hill was pretty steep). They asked Kelly to take a picture of them, so he did. Makes a good picture spot.

We parked at the bottom of this hill and hiked to the top! Only to find that there was a road we could have driven right to this cache! Oh well, I guess the exercise is good right.

Here we are in all our gear out on the very flat see nothing or anyone area of five mile! The blue skies were incredible.

St. George

Last Weekend we took a quick trip to St. George. I had SEP conferences last week and Kelly was still out of town working with his Dad. My mom was the saving grace and picked the boys up from school on Wednesday and kept them over night. Then Thursday they got up and went to St. George. Kelly got home Thursday evening. Friday I took work off (a great break after SEP's) , we stopped at the doctor for Kelly's six week check up on his wrist. He got approval to go back to normal activity (including riding four wheelers, which he can't wait to do, maybe tomorrow!). Then it was off to St. George. We met up with my family for lunch at an old fashioned type soda shop were we had soups and bread sticks. Then we took the kids checked into our hotel and went swimming. That night we went to Touchan to see the musical "Big River" it was well done and I think the kids enjoyed what they saw before they fell asleep. Kelly liked it, it was just colorful enough for him. While we were at the play the weather took a turn for the cold. Friday had been a beautiful day but the wind started that night and brought in cold storm. Saturday we spent the morning shopping for warmer clothes (at least warmer clothes for me). Then we took the boys to Fiesta Fun. We enjoyed a few trips around the go-cart track

and some mini- golf. The wind helped or hurt a few swings on the golf course but we still had fun!

That night we went to dinner with everyone at Ruby River and then Mom, Dad, Chelsea, Cameron, and I went to see "Les Miserable" Despite the fact that it was raining until about two minutes before the play started and it was a chilly 42 degree's the play was great! We drank lot's of hot chocolate and piled under blankets. Thanks Kelly who went and bought me thermals and remembered to bring me a hat, gloves, and hand warmers. I would have been miserable with out them. He knows how to take care of me! The weekend was a fun little get away!

Welcome Home!

I know most of my sisters have probably already blogged about Cameron being home but I thought I would post the few pictures that are at all decent! It has been fun to see Cam, and spend time with everyone.
