San Francisco

Rob and I spent the weekend in San Francisco with Susie (Rob's sister) and her husband Jon.

We walked farther than I had in a really long time.
We rode bikes farther than I had in a really long time.
We laughed harder than I had in a really long time.

This is on our bike ride from San Francisco, across the Golden Gate Bridge, to Salsilito where we rode the ferry back.

Ghirardelli Square sundaes!!!

The Angel Moroni

We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
We are Mormons.
We love it and everything about it.
Our lives are better because of our church.

A temple is being built just 5 miles from our home,
and we are sooooo excited!!!!

I have been hiking 1-2 times a week with some friends near the temple so we have watched it coming to shape.  It takes my breath away!

The day they put the Angel Moroni on top of our temple we took some of the young women from our ward to see it.

I feel very blessed!

Activity Days Mother-Daughter Activity

I don't remember the theme but it had something to do with cherries.  Here are Lane and I after digging through a bowl of whipped cream to find the cherries inside.

A Girl's Day

I spent a great day with some of my best friends celebrating two of their birthdays.
While the kids were at school, we shopped and went to lunch, and didn't get anything useful done. :)
 I love these ladies!

Magic Mountain

We took an impromptu trip to Magic Mountain when Price was out of town with a choir trip.
We woke up at 3:00 AM
Left our house at 3:30 AM
Got to Magic Mountain just before it opened at 9:30 AM
Rode roller coasters all day
Only waited in line for two of them that were completely worth it.
Stayed until it closed at 6:00 PM
Went out for dinner.
Drove home
Arrived home at 1:00 AM
Totally worth it!!!!

It was weird to not have Price there.
It was just Rob and his girls.
Everyone loves roller coasters
Everyone was tall enough for most rides
and there was an even number.

The only thing that would have made the day better is if Price could've joined us but he was at Disneyland so I think he was ok.

Hurdles

Sydney went to track this year not knowing what she was going to compete in and came home from her first practice saying,

"Hey Mom, I'm a natural hurdler.
At least that's what my coach says."

Sydney had a very successful season,

she competed in the 300 and 100 meter hurdles for both JV and Varsity.
Got her varsity letter as a freshman
and won the District JV 100 meter hurdles.

At the meet that she won one of the boy's dads asked me if she got her hurdling talent from me...and I said, "Nope, that is all her!"
