Shya-My Selfless Christmas daughter

Shya had been harassing me to take her to Wal-Mart Christmas shopping. She wanted to buy me a present she said.. Anyways we decided that we would draw names in our little family, Shya buy for me, Ally buy for Shya, Zoey buy for Steve, etc.. you get the picture.
Well I took Ally and Shya to Wal-Mart and my friend Maria came with us. Shya had my name so I asked Maria if she would take Shya and let her do some shopping and we would meet up later.
When we met up later Shya had bought everyone in our family a present, not just me.. I asked her what she was doing and told her to put all the other's back. She refused and almost started bawling there in the store when I told her not to spend all her money.. The money that she brought with her was the money that she got for her birthday and money that she had been saving to buy herself something.

Kids are amazing.. I was so impressed that she spent all her birthday money on us, her family. She spent 88 cents on herself and bought a cookies and cream candy bar..
This truly is the spirit of Christmas and it was shown to me by my beautiful 9 year old daughter..

Absolutely nothing sweeter

I just love this Baby boy.. I have wanted to spend all my waking hours with him. Maybe it is because I am realizing that there are no more baby's for me. I want Porter to stay a baby forever, I love this stage. My favorite part of the day is giving him a good warm bath, lotioning him up, feeding him and when he is so tired from that I just hold him and rock him and smell his sweet smell and soft hair on my face. When I finally decide to part with him and lay him down, he just looks so sweet and beautiful..

THANKSGIVING BREAK-HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY ZOEY

We had Turkey Day in McCammon this year at my parents house. We had 4 of my 7 siblings there, my Grandma and Grandpa Kent and aunt and uncle. Sophie and Shya made fruit kabobs and stuffed them in a pumpkin for a center piece. They turned out really cute.
Here is Shya showing us hers.

Mom, Dad, Zoey, Porter, Marlee and Ally

My mom had cut out these snowmen last year but ended up not making them, so on Friday (instead of going shopping since there was nothing in the ads I wanted) we labored over these snowmen. They sure turned out cute don't ya think?

Then on SAturday it was Little Miss Zoey's 3rd Birthday. All she wanted for her Birthday was to have a party at Nonnas with Streamers, Balloons and Candy. I splurged and actually bought her a toy and some clothes. Happy 3rd Birthday Zo-Bo.

1st Lost tooth

Ally lost her first tooth last night. She was so excited about it. The tooth fairy left her some money in exchange for her tooth. She tried to tell me this morning that she woke up while the tooth fairy was taking her tooth and that she let her hold her wand before she flew out the window. What a kid..

And of course anytime someone is getting their picture taken Zoey thinks she needs hers taken too..

DISNEY ON ICE

Me and 4 of my friends decided to take our daughters to Disney on Ice in Boise. I remember when I was a young girl my grandparents and parents took me and my brother to Disney on Ice at the Delta Center in Salt Lake. It was a memorable experience for me so I thought this would be fun for the girls.

Shya and Ally were the lucky ones that got to go this year. We went to Red Robin for dinner and I'm sure we stressed our waiter out.. We had 15 in our party and only 5 adults, all female except for Porter. Poor waiter..
We parked in the parking garage and the shuttle took us from the parking garage to the Taco Bell Arena. All those girls thought that was the best thing. We could have gone home right then and they would have still had a good time.

The show was awesome, we all loved it.
They had all sorts of vendors set up of course with Disney stuff and the prices were unreal. A snow cone in a princess cup was $10.00. Cotton candy with a crown was #10.00. Those were the cheapest things to buy..Crazy.
Anyways it was a great time. I would love to do it again.

PORTER BLESSING

We blessed Porter on Sunday. Mom, Dad and Tyson came and stayed for a few days.

Mom made Porters outfit, isn't it darling. I didn't get very good pictures because after church it was pretty crazy, we had over about 35 people over afterwards for dinner. So hopefully I can get some good pictures of him in it before he outgrows it.

TAGGED-NOT

I was tagged by Carrie!!! Okay really I wasn't tagged by Carrie but she was tagged and I really was struggling with a post so I decided to pretend that she tagged me.. Lame huh?

Humur me and lets pretend that I really was tagged..

Go to your "my pictures" and select the 4th folder and then the 4th photo and blog about it

So this is mine and I promise this is really the 4th 4th and I didn't even look at it until just now-after I had already typed the post.. Crazy.

This was us last year for Halloween.. Kind of boring.. I should have chosen the 5th picture in the 5th folder (never mind that was a boring one too) oh well..

I am tagging everyone who reads this blog....

DRAMA

All my posts lately seem to be about Porter. So I had to dig a little deeper and find something fun to blog about since it has been about a week or more.

So the title of my blog is DRAMA. Those of you who know Ally, know that she is super dramatic, maybe even more than super!!
Steve says she gets it from me. But I have proof that she gets it from him.
...........................

These were taken at our Family Reunion in July. We do an annual ROCK PAPER SCISSORS TOURNY and Steve always seem to be the Ref.. Look at the faces on him.. I call that dramatic.

Last Soccer Game

I am so terrible, today was the girls' last soccer game an I didn't even take pictures the entire season. I was kind of out of commission the first few weeks of the season. Anyways Shya's team did awesome this year. They are an all girls team and they played boy-girl teams. I am not sure but I think they won all their games but 2 or 3. Unfortunately they lost today.

Ally's team is still learning, they are fun to watch!!!

Oh and here is Porter sporting his Nike Outfit!!

TREES

So we made some final touches to our front yard and I am glad to say the front yard is done with landscaping, now we just have to deal with the back yard next summer. We bought some trees from a friend of Steve's dad who has a nursery and he gave us a GREAT DEAL..
We ended up with 8 trees and they were all over 700 pounds, the largest one was 1000 pounds. It was quite the show to watch Steve's sister and her husband, Suz and Chuck, unload it off the trailer. Then it was also quite humerous to watch Jon and Steve try to plant the bugger. AFter much strenuous labor they were able to get them planted and our yard looks beautiful. I love it. This is much better than buying little stick trees and waiting 20 years for them to grow.

SUPRISE PACKAGE

So I get home yesterday and there was a package at my doorstep. I looked at the box and it was addressed to me, so I brought it in. The box was from SAKS Fifth AVE. I was seriously wondering what was up.
So I open the box and there is a nice little present inside. There was a card attached so I opened it and read it. It said "To Rachelle From Steve, I love You!"
Wow, what a man, he sent me a present!!!! So.... inside the little box was a bottle of perfume that I had smelt in a magazine and really liked.
I was suprised by the package but not so suprised that my husband thought of it since he usually buys me something when I have a baby, I just thought he was too busy this time and just forgot.
Isn't he so sweet?? He told the neighbor that I deserved it since I just had a baby....AND it was a boy..

Aren't these pictures awesome? Aunt Becky (my sister-in-law)is a photographer and took pictures of Porter today. It was cold outside and Porter was freezing, the poor baby, but look at the results. Becky does a terrific job. We are very lucky to be family becasue she is a very busy photographer and as you can tell does a wonderful job.
These are just a few of the cutie pie pictures she took.

Bye Bye Nonna

Well Mom left today to go home, actually she was not really going home, she was going to Utah to my brother's. She is a traveling grandma. Well we had a good time while she was here and it was awesome help for me. She wouldn't let me do anything!! I already miss her.. She stayed busy with soccer games for Shya and Ally and she was able to go to Grandmas Day at the school with the girls for the first time.

Yesterday we went to a friend's house and picked some concord grapes for my grandma Gunter so she can make grape juice, we decided to get enough for us too.. If the girls got into a lot of grapes they would say, "Grandma I hit the jackpot".

Picture of Nonna, Porter and Zoey right before she left to go home.

PORTER JEFFREY PHILLIPS

Well for those of you who don't know my water broke Sunday morning (september 21) and we raced to the hospital. Our newest little son was born at noon by C-section. He was 3 weeks early but was a big, big boy. He weighed 7 pound 8 ounces and was 20 inches long. By far my biggest baby. We named him Porter Jeffrey.

He had a little bit of lung problems and so he was in the NICU until we were both discharged Wednesday night.

We are both doing well, glad to be home and trying to transition to our new life!!!

My mom got here sunday to be with the girls and she is staying for another week or so. She is great help!

WELCOME HOME PORTER!!!
