Asher's Birthday: Party time

For Asher's Birthday we entered the Jedi Training Academy.

First they practiced their ability to find a target with blinders on.

Then they practiced their skills with a blaster.

The boys took a break for some Galactic Pizza, Yoda soda, and Tie Fighter s'mores to build up their energy for light saber training.

then it was presents. Thank you to everyone who came and brought Asher gifts. He is in heaven! The present opening was complete chaos so I have no idea who gave him what.

Just before Jedi Training Academy graduation, where the Jedi receive their first Light Saber, we had Light Saber cupcakes.

The Farm Show

The PA farm show is a REALLY BIG DEAL around here.  Sadly we have lived in PA a total of 7 years and always somehow missed it, but this year we made sure that we got there.  It was really fun.  My favorite part was the food.  I have been craving the fried vegetable sampler since we went.

Here is Mitch and the boys with the, still warm potato doughnuts and milk shakes, seriously, so good!

We spent some time watching a horse pulling competition. Two horses were connected to a cart loaded with cinder blocks. They then pulled the cart as far as they could before stopping. The kids loved it, but Lily was a little, shall we say, possessive of the horses. Every time a new set of horses would come out, she would say "Hey! that's my horsey!" we thought it was really funny, but this was no joke to her. Those people had her horse!

The Appalachian Trail

We have had an extremely mild winter this year, and that is just fine with us!  A few weeks ago, the weather was so nice Mitch took the kids hiking on the Appalachian trial, and old favorite of ours.

The lost Christmas pictures

We have been using the point and shoot camera a lot more lately.   However; I still forget to download the pictures. Here are some memories from this Christmas season.

The annual build and destroy of the Ginger Bread House.  I don't think we will ever have a Gingerbread house last more than an hour after it is built.

This is my attempt at capturing the kids in their super cute Christmas clothes before we went to church Christmas morning. Lily has not been very cooperative when it comes to pictures. As proof, I give you the picture below. I just wanted a picture of me with my girl, but she was not happy about it as you can see on her face. I have to say, I look a bit evil myself. Look at how I sacrifice so you all can have a laugh.
