Christmas

Christmas is so fun with the kids.  They got so excited to see what Santa brought them.  We played it simple this year and each child got an outfit, book and toy and then Santa brought them something.  It was nice to simplify this Christmas.  It kept my spending in check and also made it less stressful.  This Christmas was also our first non-retail Christmas!  It was wonderful to have Myles around and not stressed out!  We were able to relax.  After we opened presents, my mom and Uncle John and Debbie came for breakfast.  It was nice visiting with them.  In the afternoon, we headed to far-away grandma and grandpa's house for dinner.  Yummy ham and potatoes.  It was a nice relaxing Christmas that always comes too quickly and then is over too quickly.

Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve, we headed over to Brandon and Jill's house.  We had snack foods, a tournament of Foosball and ping pong, played the candy bar game, opened our PJ's and read Twas the Night Before Christmas.  The kids had a blast.  It is always fun to hang out with family during the holidays.

All I want for Christmas is my two front Teeth...

Eriksen's two front teeth have been loose for awhile.  I didn't realize that we really needed to get them out until the adult tooth grew in behind the baby tooth making it hard to wiggle backwards.  I then was on a crusade to get both of Eriksen's teeth out by christmas!  He would wiggle them a little and Myles tried a few times to pull them out but they were in there good.  Well, Sunday night E had to go to time out and when he came out he was covered in blood and told Myles his tooth was ready to come out.  Sure enough it was hanging by a thread!  One tooth out now one more to go!  E had a funny snaggle tooth smile with the one front tooth and then on Christmas Eve, E came downstairs and handed me his other front tooth!  Now, Christmas could come and I could smile while singing All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!

Brystal's First Dentist Trip

Brystal went for her first cleaning.  She did wonderful.  She got all shy and nervous for a moment and then jumped into the chair and was all smiles and giggles!  They got all her teeth cleaned and no cavities!

Visiting Santa

We took the kids to the mall to visit santa.  They loved it.  I love McKinlay's face as she is looking up at Santa and Brystal putting her head on his shoulder.  It was so cute.

E's Christmas Concert

Eriksen's school had a 1st grade Christmas program.  It was really cute and I was pleased that they called it a Christmas Program!!  They sang cute songs and had a little program about being Santa's Christmas tree.  It was fun to watch.  E was an elf.  Which is cool because when I was in elementary school, I was also an elf in the Christmas program!  Far-away Grandma and Grandpa and Close Grandma came to watch the program.

Preschool Christmas Party

I had so much fun planning the Christmas party.  I found a blog that had some fabulous ideas so i borrowed them!  The morning of the party we found out that the twins were sick so they didn't make it. We made reindeer food, read Twas the Night before Christmas, went on a scavenger hunt for items Santa left behind, had a gift exchange and ate soup!  I had a blast and I hope the kids did also!
