Playing Together!

The kids were playing together so well that I had to take a picture.  It was so cute.  When I pulled out the camera, they each wanted their picture taken and then one together.  I love that they play together so well.

Winter Garden A Glow

We went to Winter-Garden-A-Glow again this year with the Laub family.  Eriksen loved the model trains.  He could've watched them for hours.  Brystal seemed to like it but was pretty quiet!

Preschool Christmas Party 2011

We made Tooth Fairy Pillows for Eriksen's preschool friends.  I got the idea from http://modestmaven.blogspot.com/.  I also printed a little poem that I found http://www.sewcutebyme.com/catalog.htm?category=46.  These are only 2 of the 6 I made.  I think they turned out so cute.  The kids were not too excited but I figured that!

 A special visitor came to the party.  Eriksen didn't really want to sit on his lap.  He says, "I already told Santa what I wanted."

Not the boss...yet!

The other day, Eriksen was giving his sister some words of wisdom while we drove around town.  He said, "Brystal, you are not the boss but one day you will grow up and be a mommy and then you will be the boss.  And I'll grow up to be a daddy."

Thanksgiving

We went to Sonny and Emily's for Thanksgiving this year.  The kids traveled very well.  I was a little worried when Brystal was trying to get out of her car seat a half hour outside of Boise!  We left Myles in Boise so he could work Black Friday.  I hate retail!  He was able to fly in Friday night and then drive home with us Sunday.  The cousins had a blast hanging out.  Taylor said it was the best Thanksgiving ever and Eriksen keeps saying he needs to go back to Taylor's for a long, long time. 

 Eriksen loved holding baby Charlie.  He would try to get the other kids to hold him but they were not as interested as Eriksen.

Eriksen's First Indoor Soccer Game

We signed Eriksen up for a coed indoor soccer team. It was the cutest game to watch! Eriksen would run up and down the field with a huge grin on his face. He loved playing, hated subbing and got tired. I was worried he wouldn't like it but he did and can't wait for his next game. His team is called the Krazy Kritters!

Happy Halloween!

This year for Halloween, Eriksen wanted to be a super hero so a friend and I made our own super hero costumes. Brystal was Cindy Lu Ho from the old school Grinch movie but she hated keeping her ribbon/antennas on. The kids loved trick or treating. Eriksen would run up to the door with Brystal right behind him. She knew exactly what to do...grab the candy and put it in her bucket! It is so cute to see how Eriksen takes care of his sister and to see her following after him.

My sister-in-law and friend had babies recently so I copied an idea I had seen a friend do. I got the templates from http://www.crapivemade.com/. It was a lot of fun making them!

Our Artist...Blood-Casso

Eriksen likes to use "different" mediums when he paints our house. Some of you may remember his great poo-casso. Well, the other night he got a bloody nose and decided to paint the walls, doors and spray the carpet with blood. It was all over and these pictures do not do justice to the magnitude of his painting! Myles caught him in the bathroom "painting" the counter. He proudly said, "Look dad, I drew a monster!"

A little too helpful...

Myles had a Leadership Summit for work in California last weekend. Shortly after dropping him off at the airport, I received this text from Myles, "Eriksen sent me with his Nerf gun. Put it in the outside pocket of the bag. Yeah, I got detained and searched at security. I had to go back and check my bag." Security surrounded his bag and one guy slowly opened the zipper and said, "Stand back! We need to secure this." He slowly pulled out the gun and opened the revolver and dumped out all the bullets. Slowly put it down and said, "All clear!" Yeah, Myles was embarrassed! He ran to check his bag and sprinted to make his flight. His boss, the owner of the company and like 30 other people he worked with were on the flight. He walked onto the full plane and everyone said, "Hi Myles!" What a great way to start his trip!

Eriksen's new bed!

Eriksen has been wanting bunk beds for awhile actually a bed with a ladder! so I found a design on http://www.ana-white.com/ and Myles took his week of vacation and made it. We still have to make a second bed but I think the first one turned out awesome! I love having a handy man. We put it in Eriksen's room tonight and he said, "I'm glad I'm not on the floor anymore!" He has been sleeping on his twin mattress on the floor. I'll post more when we get the bunk beds done and when I finish Eriksen and Brystals quilts.

We had preschool at our house this week. It was a lot of fun. I was a little worried but the kids did so well. They sat and listened. It is amazing what a year difference makes. Making popcorn for snack

It's Game Time

Hangin' with Izzie!

Izzie got to come spend the day with us since her family was sick. We went swimming at playgroup, cleaned the playhouse, and ran errands. Eriksen LOVED playing with Izzie. He was a typical boy and towards the end of the day annoyed her to no end! It was great having her around and she was a big help.
