May 2012 Review

Family Hike to Pleasant Grove Waterfall

We love to take our kids hiking and we try to only let them ride on our backs occasionally.

Amelia found the perfect seat to rest on.

Finding a good hiking stick always helps too.

Hydration is a must.
And the best hikes for us include streams to throw rocks in.

Occasionally, we have magical moments like this.  Discovering a butterfly.

"Butterfly butterfly, fly so high."  It's on the tip of Matt's finger, in case you can't tell.

A view from above

A view from below the falls.  The closer we get to the falls, the more the girls cling to Matt.

Love this girl.

Someday Sam will hike it too, but for now he enjoys the ride of luxury

Sam's first waterfall experience

The falls look small here.  Maybe they are, but it was worth it still.  The kids insisted on wearing the swimsuits so they could try going in the falls and playing in the stream.
A pretty hike and one of the first beautiful Spring days of the year.

Mother's Day Fun

Best kids in the world!

How did I get so lucky?

I'm grateful for the opportunity to be a mother to the most wonderful kids in the world.  They are helping me to become a better woman.  I'm thankful for my own mother- for all her sacrifices, time, patience, sense of humor, encouragement, service, testimony, and love.  I also love and appreciate my sisters who were mothers before me and the wonderful examples they have been to me.  And to my mo-in-law, Janet, you are the best I could ask for!  So kind, caring, selfless, and full of faith.  I love you all!

Natalie's Kindergarten Days Come to A Close

Natalie's last day of school at Spring Creek Elementary, Provo, Utah.  Her Kindergarten teacher was Mrs. Jepsen.  She was the coolest because she played the guitar and sang with the kids at the end of every school day!

Me, Grandma Walsman, April and Sophia Walsman, and Jenny Kirkman.  I married into the greatest family!

The Big Yard Sale

We had a big yard sale to prepare for our move to Ithaca, NY and downsizing house space.  We sold most of our furniture, and cleaned out lots of other stuff as well.  Such a great feeling to pass it on.
