I love making crafts!

Here's some wet wipe cases I made today...my friend from work wants to buy one for her daughter and another co-worker wants one for a baby shower gift. At boutiques they cost $45-55 which is crazy but I thought they were so cute that I wanted one so I figured out how to make me one. Yesterday when I was at the supply store I saw them selling for $28-35 depending on what glam products they used on them but so I told her I would charge her $25. The materials are expensive but so darling and mine has held out now for a year and still looks great. :o) I'm not sure why the flower looks off centered on this hot pink one because it is not. :o)

This is a holiday wreath for a front door that I made our friends. Just simple.

This holiday wall star I made with cup cake papers. I thought it turned out cute. I gave it as a gift as well to Will's Mom.

This big wreath well you might not be able to tell but it is pretty big I made out of coffee filters and it was a labor of love for my Mom. My dumb hot glue gun got so hot it was boiling and I didn't notice and not only burned two of my fingers really bad but it burned my jeans and then my leg underneath. I couldn't believe it. I had a huge blister on my finger but since my Mom said she loved the wreath it was worth it and the hole in my jeans well it's the in style look right now so I'll keep them. :o) Yes I did get rid of that stupid glue gun after giving it two more opportunities to cool down it burnt me again and again.

I wish I could do crafts more often it is such a relaxing fun activity for me. I have lots more coffee filters and the tan colored ones are going to make a pretty wreath and topiary soon. :o)

Family Update

I was finally permanently transferred from the Business Office to the Curriculum Department on 1/3/2011 at Maricopa Unified School District and I'm so thrilled. My two new boss ladies are awesome! I get to do a whole bunch of fun new things and am always so extremely busy. I'm so happy to not work for my previous boss anymore!! I'm still learning but it is soooo much better.

Will is busy with real estate the short sales and foreclosures take forever so he is also helping Toma a couple days a week with his plumbing company and installing shower enclosures and mirrors etc. He still does BPO's but they are much less than before.

McKenna has straight A's and never seems to have homework I would think that in 7th grade she would have more because it is very rare for her to have any. She is piratically as tall as me these days and can now wear all of my clothes and shoes. She is a beautiful girl! She is considering trying out for the cheer leading squad and still goes to 4-H doing sewing and ceramics. It helps that I'm the teacher of ceramics class :o). She adores Sophia and is a lot of help. She looooooves young womens and the leaders love her.

Calvin has all A's and one B. His teacher absolutely loves him. His best friend Jacob for the past 2 years is getting ready to move next week and he is pretty upset about it. He is getting tall and is very thin. He is a great boy with the best personality always looking at the positive side of things and he still is his Daddy's shadow. He goes to 4-H also but isn't quite old enough so he comes to my ceramics class. He goes to Boy Scouts every week and is getting ready to do the pinewood derby. He is Sophia's favorite person for making her laugh no matter what he does. He is a neat little boy and likes his room clean which I appreciate. He constantly is telling Sophia how beautiful she is and how much he loves her.

As for Sophia in a couple of weeks she will be one already! Time flies by so fast! She is always happy and one of the best babies I've ever been around much less had of my own. :o) She's slept through the night since she was 2 months old. She has two teeth on the bottom. She took her first steps yesterday....let go of the coffee table and took two steps then eased her way down to the floor to crawl. She did that twice yesterday. She can say the following: baba, no no, go go, momma, dad, dada, getup, num num, nn ahh, mmm and a lot of babbling. She cracks us up because anytime she see's someone with a drink she goes n ahhhh. She loves music and books. She is trying to sing now along with her dancing. She still loves her binky but only wants it for naps or going to sleep (Calvin & Kenna didn't like them). She started kissing on the mouth usually she dips her head down for you to kiss her on the top of her head when you say give me kisses. She will kiss the mirror, pictures, stuffed animals and now me every now and then. She has a temper and if she doesn't get what she wants she will slap and yell. McKenna was playing with her while walking down the stairs and bonked Sophie's head on accident and she got so mad that she slapped her, pinched her and then bit her shoulder. We have no idea where that came from and was about 2 months ago! Little turkey. She finally stopped spitting up all of the time about 1.5 months ago and that's wonderful because it was all of the time. She does not like oranges or orange juice. She prefers formula or pop. She loves sweets especially chocolate anything. She still likes to eat bland baby oatmeal and hasn't ventured to try a whole lot more as her tummy has a difficult time with dairy still and she is funny with textures. Sophia weights just under 19 pounds and a little over 30 inches long and her cheeks are the only chubby thing on her. She brings all of us joy and happiness every day! We all feel so very blessed to have her in our lives.

So life is all wright all wright. :o)
