New Year Eve Day (AZ part 7 of 9)

One of our family's favorite past times is going out on a boat on a lake. Growing up, we always spent our summers at Lake Havasu, AZ on our ski boat. Those days are long gone, but we did do a little reminiscing while we were in AZ. My brother, Mike, borrowed a friend's ski boat and away we went. We drove just 30 minutes away to Canyon Lake, had lunch at the marina, and went for a ride on the lake. We all had a blast! Kendall really loved it!

Funny memory: The guys found out the battery on the boat was dead after they launched it in the water. They managed to have it jump started and then finally met us at the marina for lunch. They left to boat running at the dock while we ate. After lunch, we headed to the boat. Little Ryan, was playing in the boat, got up by the steering wheel, and turned the key. Needless to say, we had to get it jump started AGAIN! It was pretty classic, but his Uncle Mike didn't think so!

Date Night (AZ part 6 of 9)

Mom and Dad offered to babysit one evening so that we as siblings could all go out on a group date. Trisha, a great family friend/adopted sister, flew into AZ to hang out with us for New Year's. She made it just in time to be Nick's date for our night out. We had so much fun being all together. Mike recommended a restaurant called Joe's Farm Grill that was feature on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. The food was actually pretty good. After dinner, we went to see the movie "Seven Pounds" (another gift from our parents...thanks, again!).

The only thing that could have made the night more complete would be having our other 3 siblings there. It would have been 3X the fun. Hopefully one day we will be able to do that!
We missed you guys!

Rainforest Cafe & Shopping (AZ part 5 of 9)

Before leaving for AZ, I spent sometime looking for things that we could do as a large group. I was SO excited when I found out that there was a Rainforest Cafe just 20 minutes away. The food is not all that, but the atmosphere is awesome! I knew Kendall would love it and sure enough...she did! The Rainforest Cafe is located at Arizona Mills. It is a very large shopping plaza with outlet stores. We had a great time!
Thanks again for lunch, Mom & Dad!

Sunday after Christmas (AZ part 4 of 9)

We started off the day attending church, then ended the day attending the Mesa Temple lights and musical program on temple grounds. It was a great day! Kendall came down with a little bug, so she was a little under the weather. She still mustered up the energy to play and enjoy some of the day's festivities.

Day after Christmas (AZ part 3 of 9)

The morning after Christmas was spent hanging out at Robb and Dannielle's house. Kendall loved playing outside in the backyard and on the trampoline. Even though it was a bit chilly, she insisted on going out. Shane enjoyed spending time with her outside.

Later on in the day, we all went over to Mike and Holly's house to hang out. My brother and sister live just 5 minutes from each other... I'm jealous! So, prior to our trip, we decided to spend every other evening in their homes. It worked out quite nice. We all shared the responsibility of cooking. It turned out to be very low-key and low stress!!!

Christmas Day (AZ part 2 of 9)

Christmas Day was spent at the Dilger's home. The kiddos had fun playing with all the fun toys and they especially enjoyed the trampoline that they got from Santa. We all had a great time playing games, snacking on munchies, and spending time with one another.
