Choose your own adventure.

Image
When I was a kid I used to read those Choose Your Own Adventure books.  You know, the ones that let you make a choice at the end of each section where you skip ahead to a certain page.  If you make the right choices you get to keep on going straight up to the end.  If you make the wrong choices the book might end a little sooner, your character permanently snuffed out.  Or at least snuffed out until you start over again and make different choices.  Many childcare providers use "choices" with kids.  It is a great way to help them learn, simply saying something like "are you making a good choice here?".  I have tried to embrace this in my own home too.  Life is not always black or white.  All of us have a chance every day to make our choices, to choose our path of which the outcome may or may not be desirable.  But right or wrong, the choice was ours. When it came to the books, when it was time to make a choice, I, well....I cheated....

Life is good...

My two year blogging anniversary was November 6. (I kinda forgot)   Two days later (Nov 8th) my husband and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary. We went out to dinner. (With the kids)  This Sunday is my birthday. 37 (I wish I could forget) We're going out to dinner. (With the kids) Blogging is something I have not been doing much of lately. (Life is good) But I haven't been taking many pictures. (See next note) I adore my kids. (But they are both at challenging ages right now) Here is a picture of my sisters and me. (A long time ago) I'm the cute one.  :) Life goes fast. Remember to try to savor every moment. (Even the challenging ones)

Halloween 2010

Image
As some of you may or may not know, Halloween is no longer a one day event. Halloween is in fact a week long excuse to dress up, eat candy, and do crazy things with your hair and makeup.  Why not make the most of it? There was a costumed play date with adorably dressed friends. Dress up day at school, gym class, and my parent/child class. And let’s not forget the actual Halloween day! Here are a ton some pictures from our wonderful weekend! Pumpkin Carving:   Preschool: Halloween:
