Raigynn turns 3

She was THRILLED to be the birthday girl....*the birthday song *opening presents*cake and ice cream* she loved it all!!

She THINKS she is a big girl.... *insists she dresses herself at the very least 3 times a day* no longer thinks she needs to use her booster chair* wants to buckle her own car seat*loves to wash her own hair during bath time*

She LOVES helping in the kitchen.... stirring, mixing, & her personal favorite kneading* always wants to see what I am cooking on the stove and insists that the oven light is ON if we are baking

She LIKES self portraits as much as I do.... When the camera is out she wants a picture! *one of her favorite toys right now is a broken camera. If she isn't pretending to take a picture she is swinging it around teasing her older sisters :)

She ADORES playing dress-up.... Her choice is often a dance leotard. She can ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS be found with shoes on. She loves them all from snowboots to flip flops, cowgirls boots to high heels.

She is LEARNING to be the big Sister.... If Holland needs her pacifier she is right there SHOVING it in her mouth, or when Holland is crying she is YELLING at me "MOMMY, the BABY wants to eat you" Cant quite convince her that Holland really isn't eating ME :)

Raigynn cant live without....... *snuggles, she is my little snuggler no matter the time of day.* singing, she'll walk around singing and loves it when I sing her a song at night * her blanket and finger, as long as she has those 2 things there will always be a nap time :)

We love Raigynn so much and LOVE,LIKE,ADORE,and are LEARNING to appreciate her spunk!!

Hollands Blessing

Holland was blessed a couple of weeks ago by her Daddy, Grandpa Paxman, Uncle Nathan, Uncle Dustin, Grandpa Monsen, and uncle Thad. Unfortunately Uncle Homer couldn't be there because he is in MISSOURI at basic training and Uncle Grant was in Eagle Mountain trying to figure out just which church was ours :) It was a beautiful blessing and something that Holland will appreciate more as the years pass. It was a wonderful thing to witness.I am once again reminded of how blessed I am to have the priesthood in my home and how wonderful it is to be surrounded by worthy priesthood holders. It was a great day with family and friends. The only mishap a lost bow and lets be real with all the bows and ribbons at my house this is a pretty common occurrence!

Party Treats??

Last week McKenna and Brynlee came up with the idea of having a party in McKennas room. They talked about it all week and I used it as leverage as MUCH as I could. The big day finally arrived. Sleeping bags and movies were set-up just waiting for Daddy to get home. I decided that I would surprise them and being the great Mom that I am told them that they could each pick a treat to share during the 2 movies they chose, which happened to be Sky Dancers, and Care Bears... (a whole other post :)I have to say I was shocked and a little concerned at their choices.

Raigynns choice; GUMMY BEARS... okay not to big of a deal, I like gummy bears occasionally and she is almost 3. Not totally up on exactly what is a "real" treat. She thinks her vitamins are candy :)
Brynlees choice: JOLLY RANCHERS. Ummmm lets see with everything available on the candy isle and these appealed to her the MOST? What can I say I am a little worried.
McKennas choice: DINNER MINTS. I kid you not the girl chose DINNER MINTS. What can I even say to that. Skittles, licorice, Swedish fish, milk duds, whoppers, and dinner mints. See they don't even belong in the same sentence. But apparently for McKenna they do.

So being the great Mom and example that I am I decided to choose a REAL treat: M&M's
Hopefully their choice in "treats" doesn't reflect the kind of Mom I am. Oh well we had a great time watching our movies and eating our special "treats"!
