We are Thankful for.....

So this year for the whole month of November, we each had to say what we were thankful for each day. We wrote them down on pieces of paper each day and put them in our Thankful jar. It was really fun to see what everyone was thankful each day. Definitely something we will do again this year.

Thanksgiving 2013

This year we did something different. Usually we go down and have Thanksgiving with Flint and Lisa. This year is an off year, where the Jacobsons go to their in-laws for Thanksgiving and this year we did the same. This year we got to spend the day with my mom. We had dinner with my mom, Tim, his friends Joel and Glenn, my Grandma Jaynes and my Uncle Jerry. We had a wonderful dinner, talked and Matt even got to go down and see the Evil Kenevil jump down by the Snake River Canyon. It was great to see family. Then that night my mom and I headed out to Best Buy to get one thing on the Black Friday Sale (the only black friday shopping that I did this year). We were able to get her the camera that she has been looking at. So at least it was a success. Then after that we headed back to Buhl to hang out at Flint and Lisa's so that the kids could play with Hailey and Jayden. So although it was a pretty low key Thanksgiving it was just the kind we like.

So thankful to have such wonderful family and friends and we have truly had a wonderful year. So grateful for all that we have.

Activity Days

So I am the Activity Day leader in our ward. It is a pretty fun and pretty easy calling. I have activities on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month from 7:00- 8:30pm. One activity is designed to help them work on a goal from their Faith in God books the other activity we just do something fun. I have about 5-6 (out of 12) girls that come each week. I wish it was more but at least I have that many.

So this activity was done to help them pass of a goal. We talked about the first Thanksgiving, why we should be thankful, what we should be thankful for and then I had them right a Thank You card to someone. Then we made a fun little treat for them to have and one to give to the person they wrote their thank you card to.

Finally Some Family Pictures 2013

We have some wonderful family. I was wanting some family pictures and I asked my Aunt Kathi and she was so nice and drove to Buhl to take our pictures. We went to the Karels house and used their yard because it is beautiful and has lots of different areas that work as natural picture backgrounds. It was a fun experience to say the least. I know there are a lot of photos, but each one tells a little about the personalities in my family. The smiles, the looks, the imperfections, tell the story of this day. I truly have a wonderful family and want to share just a piece of us with you all!

This one is probably my favorite. Not planned at all, just how it happened and it really depicts how everyone was feeling for the day. Matt-was just there to make me happy. Me I was glad to be getting pictures. Logan and Ashlee-wanted to be somewhere else playing. Mishagan, was just ready to be home in her bed taking a nap.
