It's beginning to look a little like Christmas

I finally got around to a little decorating. I caved. After 31 years of putting lights on a tree I succumbed and got an artificial tree. Ron misses the smell of a real tree. I must admit I miss it too. But is was nice to get the tree up lights and all in less than an hour. I usually takes at least a day for the lights. Does it looks a good as a real tree? You be the judge.

The Tree
The stocking hung by the chimney with care. Madie didn't have a stocking hanger so she is using Uncle Nick's. Hope he doesn't mind.
Wow, that tree looks like is has been using a hula hoop. I guess it must be the Chipmunk Christmas Tree. I really do love the Nativity wall hanging Randi Sue made me last year.

Sedona

Last week-end we went to Sedona with Ashley, Dustin and Lori's families. Kristi's family was not able to come because Jenny got sick Thursday night. The highs never got out of the 40's. The lows were below freezing. Yes that is a frozen fountain behind Justin and Lori.

Abigail's favorite thing was going for walks. She collected rocks. She would tell us how cute they were. The boys loved playing the Wii. They love Monkey Ball, bowling and golf.
Madie loved running around with Abigail. Someone her size around for the whole week-end.

We did miss Kristi, Cliff, Jenny and Katie. And are so happy that Jenny is finally getting better.
We also missed Nick and Lindsay. We hope things are going well for them in Hawaii.

Maybe some time in the future we will all be able to be together again to enjoy each others company.

Funny

Heidi sent me this today and it made me laugh. So I thought I would share.

Why LDS Women Stress

As Latter-day Saint women, we are practically obsessed with anxiously
engaging ourselves in good causes. Maybe it's subliminal

Glancing through the hymnal last Sunday I noted that as sisters in Zion, we
who are called to serve are all enlisted to go marching, marching forward
because the world has need of willing men to all press on scattering
sunshine. We wonder if we have done any good in the world today because we
have been given much and want to do what is right, keep the commandments,
press forward with the Saints, choose the right, and put our shoulders to
the wheel going where He wants us to go. However, as the morning breaks high
on the mountain top, truth reflects upon our senses, and while we still
believe that sweet is the work, we also realize that we have work enough to
do ere the sun goes down. And thus we ask Thee ere we part, where can we
turn for peace?
