Reminiscing...

So I was thinking about life right now. Not gonna lie, it's tough. We opened our store on September 16th which was keeping both Mark and I extremely busy, but it was doable, we could totally handle it. Then, of course, three weeks into the whole deal I find out I'm pregnant. Seriously!? Worst. timing. ever. When I was pregnant with Pyper I was basically out of commission for the entire nine months. It improved a bit towards the 7-9 month area, but still, if I went if Diclectin for even a day I paid for it for a week. This pregnancy has proven to be not much better. I think I would definately be bedridden if I didn't know I had to take care of Pyper. I can't set foot in the store because of the smells. I end up just hanging my head out the drive-thru window trying to breathe deeply and not lose it. So, that part's been tough on Mark. Poor guy. Couple all this with the fact that he seriously put his back out about a week into me being super sick (like seriously put it out, like morphine shots at the hospital put it out), and you've got a pretty pathetic pair between the two of us. I don't know what I would have done without three things:

First, my mom. She's a superstar. Every weekend (almost) she comes out to stay, does all my laundry, cleans my house, makes several meals to freeze and plays with my overly neglected adorable child. Wow, that sounds so pathetic that I need that but she seriously has saved my life. She even gets up with Pyper in the night if she wakes up and gets up with her in the morning so I can sleep in.

Second, my ward. As soon as someone got wind that Mark was hurt and I was sick as a dog, the meals and help just flowed. I don't think I cooked the entire week that Mark was out of commission. It was brutal, but they made it bearable.

Third, and most importantly, this kid.

What would I do without her? She keeps me laughing, on my toes, from feeling too sorry for myself, from letting my house get to the point of no return. Her favorite show right now is "How to Train Your Dragon", she has just discovered chocolate milk, which she refers to as "clocolate juice", she knows most of her letters, all her colours and a few numbers, she can count to twirtween and thinks she is the funniest thing going (which she is). She loves to eat cheerios all by herself and drink the milk from the bowl as soon as she can actually see the milk. She will read stories for hours at a time sitting by me in the rocking chair (won't let me cuddle her unless it's the middle of the night anymore). She loves "makeups" (said with an adorable little lisp), she is so friendly and loves to randomly say hi to anyone and everyone. I can't believe she's almost two...

So that's life as we know it right now. I never like to admit weakness, but I've been so thankful for all the help I've received and expecially for Mark for being such a trooper and just doing what needs to be done without complaint, ever. You're my hero Markus. Here's a few pics to show you what we've been up to.
