A Day at the Beach

Our air conditioning has not been working so we decided to head out to Lake Winnipeg and visit the gorgeous beach it has. Brian and Sarah Bonnett came with us and we had the best time. We bbq'd and did not go in the water because it was FREEZING! But Mark and Brian threw a softball around (Braxton participated when he was allowed!) and Sarah and I got to chat a bit. Braxton was so funny, he would not go on the sand and would not touch the ball when it had sand on it! It just cracked us up. I had brought some cherries and Braxton just LOVED them as you can tell from the pics. Earlier that morning I had made Mark waffles with whipped cream and raspberries for Father's Day. I just couldn't ask for a better husband and I'm so grateful that I get to share my days with him. He is an amazing father and such a wonderful guy I just can't believe how lucky I am. Happy Father's Day Mark!

The Latest Face!

Pyper has just started making a new face to go along with her new sound. She has always made sweet little "girl" sounds and now she is making a low "ooooo" sound and when she does it she looks just like a little monkey. I wonder when her face will run out of new expressions?

Best Buddies!

We have been doing APX with our friends, Adam and Nadia Larsen for the last 5 years. We just happen to have babies 3 months apart and so we are just having the best time with them getting to know each other. I don't think they actually know who the other one is but we enjoy watching them change and grow together - plus it gives Nadia and I a chance to play! Cosette and Pyper - friends for life (if we have anything to do with it!).

I wanted some new pictures of Pyper but don't have a phtographer here so I decided to try MY hand at it - and I think they turned out pretty great!!!

A Day at the Park!

On Sundays we like to go as a family to one of the beautiful parks in Winnipeg. This week we went to Kildonan. I found a cute little portable BBQ that we can take with us so we headed over there for dinner! It was overcast and a little chilly but we still had fun. Pyper loves to be out and about and just adores her daddy so we take every chance we can to spend time with him!
