Missouri Billboard Treasonous? Missouri Billboard Guide to Citizens Revolution

This photo of a billboard, supposedly somewhere in Missouri, is making it's way around the Internet. See video below?

More interesting than the billboard are comments on Leftist sites. One mentions our "phony bible," and a statement about the Weather Underground actually having values. One commenter asked if "threatening" the US Government is actually "acceptable" in advertising. Another says it is "conservative economic philosophy" that "deliberately" causes huge deficits to force a cut in social programs. Yet another completely delusional commenter cautions "morons and rednecks" that our Military is sworn to protect the Constitution from all enemies, even domestic enemies, and "hint...hint" the Military will not side with the "morons and rednecks."

I found a video from the Young Turks, asking if this is treason? What say you?

Celebs PLEDGE: Short Memories - Ashton Kutcher gets Naughty!

You've probably seen this Hollywood "Presidential Pledge," but if not take a look. To give you a little incentive, Jason Bateman's pledge is to "flush only after a deuce and never after a single." An unknown young Black man (unknown to me - I'm sure he's wildly popular) pledges to consider himself an American and not an African American. Another pledges to sell a culture of intelligence instead of a culture of ignorance. Wife and Husband, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, pledge to fulfill the "200 year old promise to end slavery," "the abolition of 21st Century slavery" and "to free one million people from slavery in the next five years."

Demi Moore

Moore and Kutcher end the video with: I pledge to be a servant to all mankind and to our President. These are just a few of the pledges. I think some are excellent and worthy, some full of self-absorption, some predictable and at least one hilarious. The problem is, Hollywood doesn't realize that most of us practice the worthy ones every single day, and never give it a thought - would never considering making a "pledge,"...because it just isn't necessary. If you've seen this video, scroll down to find out what comes next, because something definitely comes next.

Ashton Kutcher

So Ashton is awakened one morning recently, about 7:30 a.m., somewhere in the Hollywood Hills, by construction from the repair of his neighbor's home. The following, says Big Hollywood, is some of Kutcher's tweeting:
“this SOB owl feces cougar placenta jack bone dick!” “Jack ass 7am building a goddamn fort next to my house f’in up my view and noise polluting the entire f’in neighborhood with pounding steal” “holy moly I’m gonna lose it!” “this ass clown has another thing coming!” “I’m gonna kill my neighbor”
Video seen here.
Big Hollywood tells an interesting story, coming from the LA Times: something about the house Kutcher lives in taking about 10-years to complete, and the neighbors just sucking it up. Read the entire store there's more.

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot: there's something about Demi referring to Kutcher as "calm and gentle baby." Can that possibly be true? Demi and Kutcher caught my attention with their mission to free slaves.

I know a little about bonded slavery around the world and it heartbreaking. I also know that Hollywood, and feminist organizations, have turned their backs on the slaves that we are most familiar with, at this moment in time. I'm speaking of the freeing of Muslim woman and girls, and boys too.

The fact that thousand of girls are now attending school in Iraq is one way we have freed the slaves of Saddam Hussein. Women everywhere in Muslim countries need our help...but that's a conservative issue - not at all attractive to these free and unencumbered American women. This idea of ending slavery, and I assume they mean around the world, is a good one. We need an "example," and I'll be watching Demi and Ashton to see exactly what they do about freeing 21st Century slaves. Maybe we can all follow their example.

U.S. Rep. Thaddeus McCotter Explains "Democrat-Speak"

H/T to Jim Simpson at Truth and Consequences (a Maggie's Notebook contributor). Here's Jim's email, which expresses my sentiments, including a very good idea to call Congressman McCotter and thank him for speaking out:

It is hilarious, spoken to the full House, explaining Democrat terms like "progressive" and "revenue enhancement." Call his office to congratulate him on this rare act of relative courage (for Congressional Republicans). His number is 202-225-8171. I told his staffer that it is nice to see a Republican showing some guts for a change, and that maybe he should encourage others to follow suit, rather than sitting around with their thumbs up their asses like they are now. The staffer told me, laughing, that the Congressman probably agrees with my sentiments. Jim

Dennis Miller on Whiney Hack Harry Reid

Dennis Miller excoriates Senator Reid. For after-the-video highlights, scroll down. Courtesy of yd2008 Here's a few of my favorites from Miller: Before Miller gets to the bottom line appraisal of Reid - that being that his rhetoric enables the "bad guys," he introduces Reid as an example of "life's irony that the senator that represents Vegas is such a dim bulb." With "no due respect," Miller opines "only in the off-the-rack culture, that we currently have, could a whiney hack like you somehow rise to a position of leadership. The bad guys look to you to reinforce their belief that we are the weak horse and imminently conquerable." POLL: Republican Congressmen Need More Microphone Time?

See poll at end of my email to Congress:
I have emailed the following to my Senators and Representative, as well as Senators Mitch McConnell and Trent Lott and Representatives John Boehner and Roy Blunt:

My husband and I are asking that you and every Republican Senator and Representative step-up to the microphones and confront Democrats on the truth of the issues…call-out their meaningless postulating. The fact that conservatives are seldom in the camera lens, or in front of a mic, is damaging our position on every level. We see and hear only the radical Democrats who hold a microphone like a child holds a binky. Democrats do not answer Republican charges. Hold Democrats responsible for Reid’s claim that the troop surge is not supported by the Iraq Study Group. Cheney rebutted: that statement is “plainly false.” Reid ignored it and no one pressed the issue. This is just the ammunition Liberals need – no substance – call Cheney an “attack dog.” Reid’s opinion that the war is “lost” should be fiercely confronted, daily, in front of a microphone. Remind the world of these words! Where are the rebuttals to Democrat misrepresentations? It is not true that Democrats have a “mandate.” Find a mic and define “mandate.” These positions are controversial, true, but we cannot let Democrats be the “decider.” Keep each issue alive. We need strong voices – often. Is it possible to find a microphone when you leave a committee room? If so, we encourage you to seek it and use it. Please put-on the pressure in front of the microphone, loudly and factually, and in the press in every way possible - soon. Thank you so much. We are very concerned.
Here's my poll. I appreciate your participation. Joe Biden Chooses His Civil Wars

Let me get this straight: Joe Biden wants us out of Iraq because

"...we cannot sustain 150,000 Americans in Iraq without extending deployment times, sending soldiers on fourth and fifth tours, or mobilizing the National Guard. Even if we could, our large military presence -- while still the only guarantor against a total breakdown -- is increasingly counterproductive..."
and he wants our military forces in Darfur to
"...end the suffering..."
and he
would use American force [in Darfur] now"
Biden
"...and other senators expressed impatience with the lack of progress on Darfur four years after civil strife broke out between Arab and black tribes in the western Sudanese region."
According to Wikipedia:
Sudan has two distinct major cultures-- Arabic-speaking Black Africans and non-Arabic speaking Black Africans--with hundreds of ethnic and tribal divisions and language groups between them, which makes effective collaboration among them a major problem.
According to About.com:
Darfur is a region in Western Sudan, the vast majority of whom are black and Muslim. Darfur, roughly the size of France, is home to 8 million people, and dozens of different ethnic groups. The most important divisions in terms of understanding the conflict in Darfur are between the sedentary farmers and the so-called "Arab" nomadic herders.
And more from About.com on political conflict in the Darfur region:
These local rebel groups, composed primarily of African Sudanese, accuse the Sudanese government of neglecting the Darfur region and of favoring Arabs over non-Arabs. Their aim is to overthrow Bashir's regime in Khartoum.
Bashir, according to About.com:
...has a strong Arab character and derives most of its support from the north of the country, which is largely Arab.
According to MSNBC news, a proposed force of 22,000 U.N. Peacekeepers and African Unions forces have been approved to be deployed to Darfur but... U.N. Secretary Gen. Ban Ki-Moon has imposed a delay to determine whether the Sudan will ACCEPT international peacekeepers. Sudanese President Bashir is a politician. He has refused the deployment, fearing a violation of Sudanese sovereignty and fearing that he will be arrested and tried for war crimes. Then there's the issue of rape in Darfur; alleged rape by Bashir's "Arab-militia" and alleged rape by U.N. Peacekeepers. Back to Biden's call for American troops in Darfur: On April 3, 2007, The Weekly Standard reports
Biden is saying that Iraq is currently experiencing a civil war and that our troops should have no part in it.
and, Biden muses:
What if our troops become targets in the Iraqi civil war?
Senator Biden, are you the "decider" about who is in a civil war, and a discriminator of civil wars, now? Some are okay, some are not? I believe Darfur is in a desperate state. They need serious help and the United States of America is more than capable of doing the job. But, oh my, can't you just hear it all now? We go in and not long after, the Left and the world will excoriate this great country. We don't go in, and nothing changes, the Left and the world will excoriate this great country. It's deja vu. Were it not for the wussification-factor of American Liberals, we would just quietly take care of Darfur, and we would have boldly taken care of Iraq. Four 4-Star Generals Request Funds Before May 15th

An Iraqi who lives near one of the Iraqi police checkpoints shakes the hand of Staff Sgt. Johnny Colon, squad leader for 3rd Platoon, 127th Military Police Company, March 22, during his squad's visit with the Iraqi police. U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Marcus Butler

Four 4-Star Generals have written a letter to Congress requesting funds before May 15th. According to the Generals:

“Without approval of the supplemental funds in April, the armed services will be forced to take increasingly disruptive measures in order to sustain combat operations,” the four general and flag officers wrote in their letter. “The impacts on readiness and quality of life could be profound. We will have to implement spending restrictions and reprogram billions of dollars.”
Congress - those of you sabotaging the funding bill, do you hear this? Do you care? These are our Generals. Do you care? Republicans who attempted to get a clean bill through - stand in front of every microphone you can find and tell Americans the truth about what is happening.

We need conservatives front and center, NOW. Get MAD. We need you mad and outraged every single day. Speak up! Forget the television talk shows - they have only so much time allotted, and the Left usually gets the last rude word. Have a healthy rant in front of the TV cameras and microphones in the halls of Congress. Get on the great conservative radio venues: Rush, Hannity, Boortz and O'Reilly - and rant, then rant louder. Conservative radio offers unfettered time to speak out when the content is meaty.

Aren't there at least ten of you in Washington, D.C. who can vociferate loudly through the 2008 elections? Name names. Speak out and forget the friendships. This isn't about your good and longtime friend across the aisle, it's about war.

Back to "do you hear." Well, The House of Representatives are still on Spring Break...returning April 13! April 13! There's a war out there, it IS a war on terror, and it isn't going away. Our troops know what's going on. They are in Iraq and Afghanistan - they are waiting and watching, and then they are waiting some more, because you are not in the House. And while they wait, they have absolutely no confidence in many of you.

The bottom line: the Majority - the Democrats, are willing to fund the troops if they get about $8 billion to take home to the voters. It is shameful beyond belief.

Read Jim Garamone's American Forces Press Service piece in it's entirety.

Newt Gingrich and the Left

For several years Newt Gingrich has been my choice for President in 2008, but I changed my mind several months ago. While Gingrich is an exceptional thinker, creative and civil in thought and speech, and most certainly wants the best for America, he is deeply entrenched in Congressional friendships.

Thursday, Newt was interviewed by Paul W. Smith, sitting in for Rush Limbaugh. The news is next Tuesday’s debate on climate and environmental issues between Newt and John Kerry. When I first learned of this debate my reaction was, this is a very good thing. Newt has long been immersed in environmental issues and no one puts conflicting thought into succinct words better than Gingrich.

So, I'm listening to Gingrich and Smith, and liking the prospect of this debate, until...Newt emphasizes that the debate will not be a verbal “Wrestlemania,” points out his “long relationship” with Kerry, and then really rubs it in with “he’s a smart guy.” I am nauseous from hearing conservatives tout their civil accord with Democrats.

Smith pushes on and cuts to the chase, asking what all of conservative America wants to know:

"Honestly, you can take Kerry can't you?"
Newt's immediate, and defensive, response is,
"It's not a question of taking him."
You see, Newt wants to have "interesting dialog;" he wants to discuss "market oriented science," and that's all well and good – it’s a discussion this country needs to have, but the Left intends to bring America to its knees on this issue, fueled by the elite's quest for even more wealth, by manipulating the everyday habits of industrious Americans.

The Left has no interest in entrepreneurial-endeavors that expose the folly of carbon offsets and such. Newt, we watch you on talk shows, read your books - listen to your every word. You tamp-down Democrat strategists with the ease of picking lint. You are tough and calmly aggressive until...until...you pair up with an elected politician.

Those leading, shaping and interpreting public policy should not shine a light on personal friendships. When you do, we angst over it, for recent history has not been kind to trusting Republicans who, daily, watch the unthinkable parade in front of us.

We are not asking you to abandon the fine art of gentlemanship, but we are asking you to be fearless in revealing the absurd; for instance, a worthy debate might be Sandy Berger's appalling behavior, or William Jefferson's $100,000.00 bribe. Ask the sitting-Senator Kerry to make a public statement on these issues, and when the statement is veiled and lukewarm, keep after it until you get the answers we all deserve.

Do us a favor and put the elected on the hot seat, and encourage other conservative leaders to do the same. America will enthusiastically support you. Let Kerry find other avenues to promote his book, as you introduce your new, A Contract with the Earth, in a more respected forum where you need not let down your guard to friendship.

We want our finest conservatives to take-on "taking" the Left. We want our conservative leaders to call them out, one-by-one, these rude, mean-spirited, and dishonest politicians. If you personally like the Left, fine - just don't tell us about your buddyship until today’s dire issues have the opportunity to be settled by conservative measures. Then you can tell us how fine Senator John Kerry and his cohorts may be.

On a personal level, I concede that you think John Kerry is a swell guy, but when you “speak” such validation – out-loud, it hurts the conservative movement because the fence-sitter moderates look for the easy way out, and the Democrat strategists quote you, just as they did when you personally validated Hillary Clinton a few years ago.

It only makes sense that we need every honest advantage, and praising the Left, when it’s not necessary, is to put your debate at risk. The problem is, conservative debate is just too proper and vulnerable when up against political friendships.

My message to all conservatives in the public arena today: Taking pride in the conservative nature of accord just gets us into trouble. It doesn't work anymore. Don't even think of telling us that you cannot bring yourself "down" to their level - that you will not stoop that low. Find a way to deal with these people. You're either the person for the job or you’re not.

We want you to "take" Kerry, Pelosi, Reid, Durbin, Kennedy, Murtha, as well as Specter and Hagel and the other Republican liberals. They will eat us alive if you, and other Republican leaders, do not.

Ending Note: As I finish the above, Newt is on Fox News Sunday suggesting that it's best that Gonzalez step-down, and Chuck Schumer is thrilled with Newt's conclusion. Tomorrow, I'm sure, Schumer will be in front of a mic and a camera, somewhere, with: Even Newt Gingrich agrees that Gonzales needs to resign. Now, Newt is commenting that "his good friends on the Senate-side" will tie-up the Gonzalez investigation for months.

I do not advocate Newt or any politician misrepresenting their own criticisms of any branch of government, but I do advocate turning the conversation to an advantage for the conservative side - always.

I Know it's Illegal But . . .

Originally posted March 10, 2007 at Faultline USA Random thoughts about illegal immigration, relative morality, and the liberal mind . . . For many in our world there is no such thing as absolute morality. There’s no such thing as a black and white, open and shut case. For these folks, all thoughts, issues, choices, and actions must be examined through various shades of innumerable murky grey complexities. Relative morality is a hyper-sensitive preference towards the individual or to the particular situation rather than to the general rule. Thus every little exception disproves the validity of any rule. The following are some typical Liberal comments followed by my Conservative response: Lib:“Only the Sith deal with absolutes.” - Obi-Wan Kenobi, in the last part of the Revege of the Sith (From Star Wars - the holy video) Con: According to liberal thought, today’s warrior priests (Sith Lords) who are devoted to the dark side of of the force are usually referred to as “Wing-nuts.” Lib: “ . . .So perhaps it is possible to hold to absolutes and yet respond according to the differences that each situation brings.” Con: This stance often results in confusion between the absolute mandates of the rule of law with the relative humanistic or “pastoral” concern for the individual illegal immigrant. Lib: “Morality is a selective preference created dynamically by culture. So no, there is no absolute morality.” Con: And we now have discovered what happens when multiculturalism bumps into existing U.S. Laws (Suggestions). Lib: “Evil does not really exist, it is merely an absence of good in the way that black is actually an absence of color.” Con: Isn’t it interesting that those who deny the existence of evil in this world, and who deny absolute morality, are usually the first to play the victim and to point fingers??? Typical liberal nonsense (race-carding) Lib: “While they may break laws in so doing - which is wrong, and needs to be examined more - they are not bad people, and I think suggesting they are truly is tinged with racism, which is something I don't say lightly.” Con: Do you know of any anti-illegal immigration activists who have actually suggested that illegal aliens are bad people??? I loved this comment found on the internet: Lib: “I had written a nice long post about absolute and relative morality and the problems with both and why I reject the notion of ‘morality’ blah blah blah. Then my computer crashed and twenty minutes’ work vanished. . .” Con: Now was that a relatively bad thing, a random event, or a blessed act of Divine providence??? You be the judge! :-) Question: How many illegals are using the stolen Social Security numbers and other identity documents of millions of American citizens, including tens of thousands of American children? Answer: Nobody actually knows because nobody wants to talk about it so nobody is counting. Just some Illegal News . . . Watch the Video “Matricula Card Not Accepted in Mexican Banks” Earlier this week Republican Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn introduced legislation (H.R. 1314) aimed at preventing U.S. financial institutions from handing out credit cards to illegal aliens. H/T to Calif. GOP Rep. Brian Bilbray How to Close an Immigration Loophole Yesterday, I signed on to co-sponsor H.R. 1314, the Photo Identification Security Act, authored by Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.). This legislation would stipulate the specific forms of identification needed to attain a credit card or bank account. Some financial institutions have been issuing credit cards and open accounts for people who don’t have Social Security numbers — most of whom are thought to be illegal immigrants. The federal government cannot claim to be serious about addressing illegal immigration while at the same time; allowing loopholes to exist that encourage illegal immigration activity. Financial institutions have been taking advantage of a loophole in federal law that has allowed them to profiteer off of illegal immigration. The Photo Identification Security Act will close that loophole so that the integrity of our banking process will remain in tact. Those forms of documentation listed in the bill are a Social Security card with a government-issued form of identification such as a state driver’s license, or a U.S. or foreign passport, or a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services photo identification card. Matricula Consular cards, a form of identification issued by the Mexican government, would not be accepted for starting accounts or credit cards, since the Marticula Consular cards are not a secure form of identification. **This was a production of The Coalition Against Illegal Immigration (CAII).
