We had the chance to do some very special things recently. Here is a jumble of the random fun things we have been up to.
Dad won some tickets to a patriots game throughout MWR (The Military parks and rec. department). No they weren't super bowl tickets, but I think it was the game right before the super bowl.
Then he went to a Celtics game with some of the other guys from work. Both sporting events were fun for him, but they got out late.

I have been learning how to play basketball. This Saturday was my last practice and we were able to actually play a game against another team! Dad said that I was so good at running from one end of the court to the other and playing defense. I had so much more fun in basketball than my dance class. So I told Mom that when Dance is over I don't want to do it anymore and I'd like to sign up for the soccer team. Mom was happy with that because Daddy will take me to Soccer since it is on Saturdays :) Also, Mom is not a big fan of the self-image problems older dancers often develop, so she is glad I'm done with my dance phase while I'm still so young.

This weekend we went to a Daddy Daughter Dance. We might not have gone if we hadn't heard how much fun our cousin Paige and her Daddy have had when they've gone to their Daddy Daughter dance in years past. We had so much fun too! Dad said there were probably 200 people there. We had fun seeing friends from school and spending time with our Daddy. He is pretty cool to do so many fun things with us all the time.
We have been so impressed with how much our community can do on volunteer power alone. If there are fees for community activities they are always so small and it is amazing how much they can do with it. Plus, we love that whenever we go to community activities we always see Friends from our school.
Another exciting thing is that we got the Pre K round up info sheet for next year. In March we get to go and hear all about what Maggie will be up to next year when she gets to start coming to Gwen's school for pre-K. Yeah for free preschool 5 days a week :)
We love Maggie's current preschool, but who is going to say "no" to good quality free preschool where a bus picks you up and drops you off? Mom hears they teach the same letter learning system in pre-K that they use in Kindergarten so there is a lot less information lost. It's called lively letters and even though Gwen already knew her letters when she went into kindergarten, she has really enjoyed learning all the lively letters info in her kindergarten class.
We have not really posted very much about Mom's Baby, so I thought I'd take a quick moment to share a few things.
Our Midwives are AWESOME and we are so excited that we get to use midwives again (when I was born we lived in a small town that only had 2 Doctors.) Mom always makes the appointments for when Gwen is at school so it is just the 2 of us at the check ups. Every appointment they let me...
...help out by putting the goop on Mom's tummy...
...Hold the heart rate monitor while we listen to the Baby...
...And play with the measuring tape...
We had our first ultrasound on Friday and we got the exciting news that it is going to be a boy!!! We are all super excited. Girls are great and we are so glad to have 2 already, but we were hoping to add a boy into the mix. To celebrate we went out to dinner.

Gwen asked if she could get something on the menu called a "Blue Slush" Mom and Dad agreed thinking it was very appropriate to get something blue since we just found out we were going to have a boy. THEY SHOULD HAVE SAID NO, it was a gigantic mess! Good thing we didn't have anyplace to go afterwards.
Here is Mom's profile at 18 weeks. (about 3 weeks ago) We haven't taken another photo like this recently, but we all think she is bigger than this now.
We are so grateful to be welcoming this little miracle to our home and pray that the remainder of Mom's pregnancy goes well.
Lots of Love,
Miss Maggie

Mom and Dad love that we are friendly to each other at night time. They often wonder why we don't get along as well during the day and assume that we must like teasing each other. But at night time we know that if we don't behave the lights get turned out early and we don't have play time.
The better we get along, the later we get to stay up. (we get ready for bed around 7:30 and get to play until 9:30 as long as we are good and don't come downstairs to bother Mom and Dad.) Since they give us the power to do our own thing. Half the time we put ourselves to sleep before they come up. On those nights they come up at 9:30 to make sure we fell asleep in our beds, not the floor. And to cover us with our blankets and give us one last kiss.
But last week they found us asleep together in the same bed.
First in Gwen's...

...Then in Maggie's...
...And on the third night Gwen had kicked Maggie out of her bed and Maggie was sleeping on the floor. Mom said that would not fly and that if we wanted to share a room that would be fine, but no more kicking people out of their beds in an attempt to be together.
So in the morning we moved Maggie's bed into Gwen's room and we have been LOVING IT!!! Now Maggie's room is the play room and we brought the mini tramp in from the screened in porch that was so freezing no one would use it even with a space heater going. We still have a few things to figure out as far as where to put the rest of Maggie's furniture/clothes. But it has worked out great and we will ride this friendly sister train as long as we can.
-Sincerely Gwen & Maggie

FOOD WE ALL LIKE #5
Egg Salad Sandwiches
It probably doesn't come as any big surprise since we all love to eat deviled eggs, but Egg salad sandwiches are another meal that we all enjoy and like to have for lunches, snacks or even picnics.
Drawing and family fun-
This week Mom got me some markers because we lost ours somewhere in our move. My first work of art with them was this. I told her it was my Grandma. Mom thinks it might be my first drawing of a person that is recognizable as such.-Maggie
Most Sundays (as long as we are not eager to get home right away) Daddy likes to take us out on a drive. We wander around searching for fun things to do for a family outing on another day. This week our drive took us to a place called Fort Foster. There were TONS of cars parked on the street in front of the gate and lots of people walking around. So today we went back for a fun family outing to Fort Foster to check it out.
It was great, but cold. We bundled up and are excited to be able to go back when the weather gets warm again.
