Today started off getting the kids off to school followed by taking Mack to Music Makers. After that we headed to the gym and I did my 35 minutes of cardio. I came home and quickly took a shower before I had to pick Kate up from Kindergarten. Then we were off to Target to get a few things. The kids always like it when I take them to the donut shop so I told them if they were good at the store I would get them a donut.
Mack has really become quit independent and has to do everything by him self. So it makes for practicing my patience and things taking a lot longer than they normally would.
"I do it myself" is his new favorite phrase. When your in a hurry it's not so cute :)

I'm home now and need to figure dinner out. Why is that so hard for me? Can't someone just tell me what to fix? I get so sick of the same 5 things but am not adventurous enough to try new things. I know that it's so much easier to do dinner if you think of it and get it started in the mornings but I never seem to do that, will I ever learn?

I better go wake Mack up from his nap or he will never go to sleep tonight. Hopefully something yummy will magically appear for dinner tonight!

to my surprise...

I came home from church today and saw that the garage door was left open...Todd left after me so he must of forgotten to shut it down. I usually get so bugged when he does that but today I must admit I'm glad he left it open. Someone was able to get into the house and clean everything up! The whole house was put back together! That never happens on Sunday's! We are always so rushed to get out the door the house is always left needing a good "pick up".

So anyways I just HAD to say THANK YOU to good friends!! Thank you (Christina) for being so thoughtful. She has been so nice to call and check up on me since I have been sick.
I have an early morning presidency meeting tomorrow and my house is all ready and clean for that.
My week is definitely off to a great start...thanks again Christina!!!

Been sick

I don't want this to sound like a downer post but I have been so sick! I came down with this Tuesday night and have been in bed for 3 days! I don't remember being this sick, it's just been the worst! (fever, body aches, sore throat, cough, headache, stuffy nose, runny nose, sinus pressure you get the picture:) and when your pregnant you cant really take much. I have just been really trying to take it easy so that I can get better. My Mom came over yesterday and made dinner and helped pick up the house and finish all the laundry...so heavenly!
I still don't feel like I'm totally better yet so staying home is what i will be doing. I'm glad that I don't have much going on, that makes it nice.
Thank goodness that Mack has been so good. Or should I say thank goodness he will watch cartoons:) Kate has been a real help too. She is so good about playing with Mack and entertaining him for me. Cause we all know when mama is sick life still goes on:) right?!?!?

On a happier note...Monday we got invited to go to a friends house for lunch. It was fun visiting, and just letting the kids play. Celesta was down from Sacramento visiting, it was so good to see her family and especially her new baby!

Happiness...

Today has been such a great day I just can't help but be happy!
Mack got his cast off. I took him in this morning and had it removed. He still thinks his arm is broken and wants his cast back on. I'm sure it's because his arm feels so weak from not being used for 6 weeks. The doctor said it will take a few days for him to not baby it and start using it again.
My Mom came over today and helped me get the house put back together. She never comes empty handed and brought dinner. Meatloaf and homemade rolls. Yum and even better dinner is done!
I have just really felt so good with this pregnancy. I think the exercising has really made a difference (not with my weight gain but how I feel:) I just feel great!! It's hard to believe I only have a few more months.

Not a very long post...not much to report. Everyone is doing great!

The Third picture is an old Christmas card I found taken in 2002, and FINALLY a picture of us as we are today:) A little older and wiser and OK maybe a few pounds heavier... hahaha

We just got back from a fun date. We went to Ruth's Cris Steakhouse for dinner followed by seeing the movie P.S I love you...YES a movie AND dinner both in the same night! My sister Joy came over with her kids and watched our kids for us. It was so much fun!!! Really why don't we do this more often.

Update on Mack

K, so I have the pictures mixed up but you get the point:) His new cast is half the size of his first one. He calls it his "baby cast" and it's so much better! What's even better is that he gets this one off in 8 days!! We went to his appointment on Tuesday and they removed the pins, they just slid right out it was crazy! His bone looked really good.. he's nice and healed. This new cast is more of a protector for the next little while since the pins were just removed, so over all he has healed up nicely!

Melissa is always the person you go places with because she likes to have fun, and is always up for anything! Good thing for her good sense of direction or I would have been lost on that trip.

My first post in 2008! I thought I would document a picture of my 7 month pregnant self:) Well, I thought i was 7 months...not until Wed. so almost 7 months!!

We just got back from Jon's Incredible Pizza. Boy is that place fun! It's a new place here in town and I thought we would try it out since it's the last day of "vacation" before the kids start school again on Monday. It was a lot of fun...we all enjoyed the all you can eat buffet as well. When you pay that kind of money you make sure you stuff yourself full hahaha

Yesterday we went to the movies. Kate, Mack and I saw Enchanted and the older boys saw the Water horse. It was playing right next door so I let them go alone. I lucked out because my friend just happened to be there with her kids, I was nervous letting them go alone so knowing she was there made me feel so much better.

Not too much going on this weekend, Trevor and Ethan have basketball games tomorrow and Sunday we have 11:30 church! I'm so excited for that! Then of course Monday is back to school:) Tuesday mack gets his HUGE cast off along with the pins...then will get another one put on, hopefully a smaller one, for another two weeks. There is a light at the end of the tunnel!! He has really done well with it, I think it's been harder on me than him. It will be nice for him to be able to wear his clothes again. He has to wear Ethan's size 8 shirts to fit over his cast. bath time will be a lot better too:)
