I LOVE my pink Christmas gift!

I absolutely LOVE my pink Christmas gift from Stacy. It is perfect and something I would have bought for myself. I love the colors and it will get put to good use as my diaper bag in a few months, it is really big inside with tons of storage space, i just love it! I can also use it as a church bag too:)
Thanks again Stacy for being so thoughtful. I can't believe you actually know how to make these? You are amazing!

GOOD MAIL!!!!!

I received "good mail" this week! It's amazing how happy you are to open your mail box and see packages just for you that you weren't expecting. The first one is from Kristi. She sent me a ton of beautiful ribbon. It's almost to pretty to use. The second is from Melinda. She sent me a nice birthday card and a cute little soft baby gap outfit for the new baby (my first new outfit for my little guy) and the third is from Becca. Ultra soft socks (love those), my favorite lip gloss, a cute Christmas ornament, and chocolates! (which were dove chocolates but those didn't make it for the picture:)

Thanks so much you guys for being so thoughtful!!! It made my day!

Family Christmas Picture

We had a blast at the Thompson Family Christmas party on Saturday. We took this picture that night, just a quick snapshot of the family. Are we all actually smiling AND looking at the camera? WOW!

We had a good turn out with all of Todd's cousins and their kids. There was a huge crowd! We had a gift exchange, yummy food, and a visit from Santa. It was a lot of fun!

Today we went to church, my lesson went well (glad that's over) and then went to Todd's parents house for dinner. I need to get the house all picked up..why does the house get so thrashed on Sunday's?!?

Mack goes in for a doctor appointment tomorrow...hopefully the x-ray looks good, he's getting his cast put on.. One more week until Christmas!!! YAH!

Cookie Exchange

Today I headed to my Mom's house for our first annual Christmas Cookie Exchange. We each made a couple different kinds of cookies then swapped. We got to take home 5-6 plates full of different yummy Christmas Cookies to pass out to our friends. My Mom also made us a really good lunch to celebrate my birthday along with my sister Carolee's birthday (which is today). HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAROLEE!!!!! My Mom made homemade chicken croissant sandwiches, pasta salad, and fresh fruit. It was so good. I don't even want to know how much weight I've gained, especially with all the sweets I have been sampling. I haven't been to the gym since Mack broke his arm and I'm really feeling the affects of it. O-well I will have some hard work my way after this baby is born. Why is it so easy to gain weight and so hard to loose it :)

Tonight we don't have much going on so we will go out and deliver our yummy goodie plates. Tomorrow is the Thompson Christmas party at my in-laws house, then Sunday I have to give the combined lesson in Young Woman's (why is that so scary for me)??

Happy Birthday to ME!!!

I just love birthday's!! It's so fun to get spoiled for one whole day:)

I can't believe I'm 32 years old! REALLY 32?!?!?!?!?

Todd got my car detailed for me. It is so NICE and clean. Christina offered to come over and watch the kids so Todd can take me out to dinner tonight. With Mack's arm being so fragile I'm not comfortable leaving him with a teenager baby-sitter so I appreciate Christina doing that for me. My two girlfriends Maryann and Andrea brought lunch over to me yesterday. It was fun visiting with them. Tomorrow I'm getting together with some girlfriends for lunch. Thanks Christina for putting that together. It looks like my one day of getting spoiled is turning into 3 whole days of getting spoiled :)

Check out my Mom's blog, she posted such a nice birthday tribute to me. Check it out by clicking here http://jayne-mccookfamilynews.blogspot.com/

I have the BEST Mom!!!

Thanks everyone for your birthday wishes, I will have a smile on my face all day!!

Mack had surgery

We took mack in one week later to get his splint removed and new cast put on. They took an X ray at his appointment and said that the break was worse? He must have fallen on it and made it worse. The doctor decided to just go ahead and put the cast on and have us come back one week later to see how it healed on it's own. Mack was in so much pain and had been the whole time we thought that he must have kept falling on and that is why he was always in pain but really what should have happened was the surgery the day he broke it. We decided to take him back in a couple of days later (Friday) just to have it looked at. You shouldn't be in pain once the cast is on right? We ended up seeing a new ortho doctor who said that he needed to have surgery to put pins in his arm to straighten and stabilize the bone better. He said that should have been done the day he broke his arm. The break was bad enough and too close to his elbow. So off to get admitted for surgery that very day. It was long....we ended up having to wait until 1:15 am for the surgery to take place. He was finally done at 3:15 am, he had a hard time coming out of anesthesia. He was really groggy, and I'm sure didn't feel good. We got to come home the next day (Saturday) around 5:00 pm, which was great. Hospital stays are just not fun! We even had to share a room UGH! The little boy next to us had Asama and was coughing all night, had a breathing treatment going on the whole time. Todd's parents came and stayed the night with our kids and my Mom came the next day. My Mom can never stay still at my house so ALL the laundry was done, dinner was made and so was yummy pumpkin bread! Just the best!Mack slept MOST of the day yesterday and is doing tons better today.
He goes in to have a cast put on in one week. I can tell he feels so much better having the pins in his arm stabilizing it better (even though you wouldn't think so). I can tell such a difference and know that the surgery was much needed. So on to a speedy recovery!

HAPPY 11th BIRTHDAY TREVOR!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SON TREVOR! I love you! I hope your day is special! Your growing up to be a good young man and I'm so proud of you!

Last year we went out to dinner and a movie just the two of us to celebrate our "December birthday's". I'm looking forward to that again this year :)

I brought Trevor Pizza and root beer for his lunch at school today. It was fun to see all the kids want to "sit" by him for lunch in hopes of a shared slice..I also made some cup cakes to take to scouts.

Tonight is mutual. Ive got my peanut butter balls all ready for the girls to dip them into chocolate. have any of you had those, they truly are the BEST! Wish me luck for tomorrow, when Mack goes in for his cast!!!

Saturday we attended our Ward's Christmas Party. They served ham, cheesey potatoes, green bean casserole, and rolls. After dinner was a nice program followed by a special visit from Santa.

Todd and the two older boys left a little early to go see cousin Brent play one of his football games. If was a fun night.

Friday night we got all the decorations down and decorated the tree. It was so fun to see Kate get so into it and help with all the decorating. She thoroughly loved it.

Today I let Mack sleep in (he doesn't sleep very well at night) then hit the gym followed by a quick trip the the UPS store to mail out my "Pink Christmas" gift. I hit the grocery store and came home to start on my dinners for my monthly dinner swap that I do with 5 other girls. We meet Friday and are also bringing 5 dozen cookies to swap. I also have to make cookies for mutual tomorrow night...so lots of baking and cooking this week :)

Mack gets his cast put on this Wednesday. I hope he wont be in so much pain when the real cast gets put on. He said he wants a "green" cast. Hey at least it will go well with Christmas time!
