I have all but one strip done for the body of my DeColores Jacket. The pictures shows the body looking from the top down. As you can see, one strip is missing on the right. I was knitting the last body strip when I realized that I had gone about 5" too far. But after I checked the pattern, I found I could rip out about 1" and have one strip for the sleeve.So I'm working on the last strip for the body now. As you can see, these are not blocked, so they are more like tubes than strips. BUT, I get 4 days off this weekend for Labor day. And when I have long weekends I do the non-knitting tasks (that I always put off) for my projects.
That means this weekend, I want to:
- Sew the buttons on the Manos sweater
- Sew the buttons on the sweater I'm making for an xmas gift
- Block all the DeColores strips
- Sew the sleeves into the Cara sweater
(you can see it's mostly the sew part that I put off)
That will finish up two sweaters, prepare the Cara sweater for attaching the lace band, and prepare the DeColores for joining. I hope to join a couple of strips this weekend too.
