Roaring Springs

Last night we got together with our homies the Bleazards and the Brauns and talked about our camping trip this weekend.
All the kids went swimming while the adults chilled, talked and ate some dessert.
After the kids swam they made themselves some smores in our fire pit. Look at all those crazies.......couple of butt cracks too to throw in the mix.

All of our kids had done their reading at school as well, and had gotten their free Roaring Springs passes.
We all decided to co-ordinate and go together.
So we did!!
We got to Roaring Springs at 11am when it opened and partied in the sun all day together.

I'd asked Nawang to watch Emiko for the day as Roaring Springs is more of a big kid kinda thing. They went to kung fu Panda 3 and hung out and had fun. I'm grateful to Nawang for helping me out.

Here she is with Jojo.

Nydia was there too but she took off in this picture to get her kids lunch so we just have her two older ones.
We wandered around and did all the rides we wanted to do

Here's Takeshi being crazy as always.

There's no controlling that kid.

I was so proud of all the kids man cause they did this straight drop ride.  So you get in at the top there and stand on a platform and then it drops down off your feet and you go shooting down through a stream of water. I thought Yuki would back out for sure and she totally didn't man. She did it. I was so proud of her.

We wandered around and did all the rides and kept hydrated and tried not to burn our feet on the concrete.
We took a lunch break and saw one of my mates, Shannon there with her kids. She was set up right by us which was awesome.
The lines were way better in the morning. The morning is the time to go for sure. If I had season passes I'd go from 11-1 and then leave!!
It was so much fun to be together and the kids getting their reading reward you know.
What a great day.
I didn't take many pictures cause we were all too busy having fun.

So much fun, in fact, that on the 15 min ride home all of them took a quiet cat nap.
They love it and it helps them to do their reading the next school year cause there's no way I'd pay $30 each for our whole family. So with them being free and Dru getting a discount from Simplot, it was more affordable that's for sure.
I'm glad we went and it's over.
It's a little stressful to keep an eye on all the kids all of the time you know and make sure they're ok. I'm glad Dru was with me this year. It was way better having him there to help out.
Fun, fun.

McCall with the cuzzies

So Friday we headed up to McCall with the cuzzies. We rented out mates cabin in Cascade.
It was a little slice of heaven. Simply perfect!!
I could never get over the view. We were so happy.

This is their back yard view. So amazing.
There was a crash on the highway and so we were waiting an hour to get moving, but we listened to music and danced in the car while we waited. It was actually pretty fun.

Here's the comfy couches and the kids playing.

Masaru getting into his wet suit. He did some lunges and thought it was hilarious how bouncy he felt. Bringing the kids wetsuits helped out, but in the end they just swam in the lake without them.

How's this for a panoramic view?

And here's a video just so you can get the real feel of what's going on here.
We had some dinner, swam and hung out.

The cabin had 3 kayaks and a paddle board kinda thing and we had a boggie board and our mates kids kayak as well. There was plenty to go around.

Fun right?

Dru and I went mtb in the morning.

This video doesn't look like much cause Dru took it at a weird angle but it was a steep DH rock section that it took all my courage to do.
So what goes down is I look at an obstacle and think "Maybe I could do that" then Dru tells me "You could do this no worries" then encourages me and then I muster up everything courageous inside of me and go for it and it's always paid off. It's a cool ego boost to be successful in something that scares you so much and helps me to be a better rider.

We rode with our buddy Pzipp and had a blast on the trails. We were pretty hammered by the end though.

Hitting the waves that the boats going past made.

Working together to get water out of the kayak.

Once we got home from mtb we all went for a hike down to Goosecreek Falls.
It was beautiful.

Two little cuties.

Three slightly bigger cuties.

Here we are down at the falls.

Sweet Yuki chilling on the rocks.

Luke trying not to die.

An epic picture of one of the best families I know.

Another epic picture of another cool family I know.

Then we decided that after that huge work out we should reward ourselves with some ice cream.
So went to the Alley ice cream place and got some ice cream and talked about Luke going into American Ninja Warrior while the kids climbed trees and swang on the swing with random kids on their laps.

It was pretty nice.

We came home and got some dinner going and pzipp came over to hang out with us while the kids swam and we ate and hung out.

These guys man hahahahahaha

Sunday we got up super early to take Masaru out mtb with us at Jug mountain.

He did so well I was surprized.
That summer mtb camp he just did really improved his skills.  I'm going to put him in the Autumn programme for sure so he can continue to get better and better.
He has no fear and just rocked the trail man.
We had so much fun together.
We may get him a pass next year cause I think he could totally do the trails we're doing at Tamarak.
I'm glad we took him out.
He was so excited and really happy to be with us.

We dropped him off at the cabin then Dru and I took off for another couple of hours of riding with another mate, Boe who was up there. Pzipp went home.
It was nice to be with Boe for a while and catch up.
It's nice for Dru to ride with Boe as well and see how cornering is done.
The trails were beat down but we still had fun, none the less but by the last round our legs were totally beaten down that I was sitting on my seat half the time.......hahahaha not good.

I realized I need to get fitter and stronger in my legs.
Always good to have new goals.

We got back and had something to eat then chilled with the kids in the water for a time.
That was one of my most favourite moments, all of us in the water having fun together. It was nice to just be there hanging out.

We had to face the inevitable though and start packing and cleaning the place.
Everyone helped out a ton and it wasn't too bad at all.
Kristin had been working on the washing throughout the day and that was awesome.

Once we were done we headed out for some dinner and cruized home.
We talked about the weekend for a while and got the kids in bed then headed to bed ourselves.

The cuzzies left early the next morning and it was sad to see them go.

The weekend was too short and I wish we could've stayed one more day, but I'll take what I can get and love it.
I'm glad Kristin's family came up with us. It was way better to have them there than to be on our own. I know the kids love having cuzzies around so it worked out really well for us.
I'm glad we went.

Teeth a pool and cuzzies

Look at that tooth man hahahahaha
He held on till the last minute until he let me pull that bad boy out.
When I pulled it out THERE WAS NO BLOOD!!!
That's how done it was hahahaha
Crack up.

He's now the toothless wonder and got enough money from the toothfairy to pay his brother's debt off and now is debt free.  It's a good place to be right bud?

We got the pool up the other night and the kids are way pumped about that. It's been 100 degree weather and so it was a great time to get it up and going.

The cuzzies came up Thursday from Utah and so here they are all having some fun.

Emiko refereeing

No one came in crying so the game must've went ok.

How cute are these two cuzzies man......................
We love having cuzzies up with us.

Shelves

While our mate Nydia was in CA with her family, Dru came around with Keith and helped him build these shelves in his house.
There was just space on either side of the TV that Keith had always envisioned making shelves beside.
So when Nydia left he decided that this was a great time to get going.
They worked on them all week and they turned out so great.
First they got the wood, cut it all, stained it, put it together out in the garage, brought them in, screwed them into the walls safely and then put the trim up.
Amazing right?

They look like they were always meant to be there.
They turned out so beautiful.

Dru's a rockstar.

His sister and mother came over to put things on the shelves so when Nydia came home they looked kinda finished.
She LOVES them but is gonna change it up a little.
Pretty awesome right?
