I can hardly believe it's been so long since I posted! If only I had an excuse to make me feel better, but I don't. Oh well, here's a bit of everything we've been up to the past month.
TONS of this:
Tienna loves the splash pads! Some days we go with friends and some days we go and she just runs around, either way she has a blast and inevitably takes a good nap afterwards!
(Sorry for the awkward picture - it's tough getting four two year olds to look at the camera at the same time!)
Excited to be doing this again:
It's finally cooling off enough that the zoo is bearable for a couple hours in the morning. Right now the favorites are lions, tigers, baby monkeys and elephants. We can't wait for an entire fall/winter/spring full of (almost) weekly trips to the zoo!
Not enough of this:
We've had a couple visitors over the summer - most recently Jessie and Steve over Labor Day - and are looking forward to everyone we're going to get to see this fall.
Loving this:
Basically Tienna loves 'helping' with whatever anyone is doing. She loves cooking and baking - she literally will sit in front of the oven and watch whatever is cooking inside. She's figured out how to be creative with the functionality of her toys; her favorite stool is a bucket of blocks that lets her see (and grab!) anything on the counter tops, bathroom counters, dressers... you get the idea. I love having a little helper!!
Again, insisting on being the helper... she carried this all the way up the stairs from the car.
Endless amounts of this:
Our little girl has an infinite amount of energy! She's always running around our apartment (literally) and is getting creative in the way she runs. Sometimes it on her tip toes, other times it's marching, often it's hopping. Thank goodness no one lives below us! She's also developed another very girly habit - dressing up daily in her tutu and insisting I put on music for her to dance to. Again, I don't mind because afterwards she always sleeps like a rock!
(Are you noticing a pattern.... maybe I should feel bad about trying to tire my child out, but I really don't...)
Other than that, Josh has been keeping more than busy with audition rotations that are thankfully here in Phoenix. The call shifts get long but at least I get to see him every other day at worst. He's also applied for residency and is scheduling interviews. A month ago I was super excited for these audition rotations to be over so we could hang out a little more often but now I'm realizing he's going to be gone even more than he is now. Oh well, I guess I should be grateful he's had so many interview offers so far!
