Sweet Baby Girl...

Kenna...7 pounds, 18 inches...born at 12:22 am December 14, 2008...
Happy birthday sweet baby Kenna!

I can hardly believe my sweet baby girl is 1! It feels like I was just barely pregnant with her, or like she was just barely born. She has been such a perfect addition to our family. I absolutely love Bridger, but when I found out Kenna was a girl I was ecstatic...I wanted a girl I could put bows on and a girl I could play with when Josh and Bridger are off playing. I love everything about her! She has been such a good baby! I can't believe how fast this year has gone, and it kind of makes me sad that it went so quickly. We were amazed from day 1 at how happy Kenna is...and she still is a happy little one (unless her brother is picking on her). She smiles all the time...we'd check on her in the middle of the night when she was only a couple months old and she'd give us a big grin...love that smile! I love that she is all girl, even though that means she has a flair for the dramatic already...she screams when she's mad or when she's happy, ot when she's scared, etc(she also has the highest pitched scream I have ever heard! She is opposite of Bridger and is completely messy....she gets food everywhere, puts everything in her mouth and wants to lick everything! She now says baa, mama, dada, Buh and Bridger, puppy, uh-oh, wow, bye bye, hi, no no, and more (can't remember what else)...she is also really good at mimicking whatever we say. I love that she babbles and rambles when she is upset or when she is excited...it's like she is trying to tell us a whole story! She is more cautious than Bridger, and takes her time with things. She is our sweet baby girl...Kenna Beth, Pinkers, Miss Kenna. We love you beautiful girl! Happy 1st birthday!
Here are her stats from her doctor's appointment today:
-Height: 30 inches...80th percentile
-Weight: 20.08 pounds...45th percentile
-Head circum: 18 inches...70th percentile

Boondocks...

Josh's dad was able to get tickets to go to Boondocks in Kaysville. Boondocks had just finished being built, so they wanted to have a practice round before it opened to the general public, so they gave out tickets to some people. Josh was going to go with Bridger and his parents, but then last minute he had to work, so I took Kenna and Bridger up. We had a great time! They served dinner, we rode the go-karts, played lots of games, Bridger did kiddie bowling, and also watched Bridger play on indoor playground equipment. It was a fun evening and nice to try out all the things there for free! Thanks Mark and Julie for inviting us!

Random Kenna pics...

This pic was taken the second week in November...Kenna wasn't feeling to well...come to find out, she actually had an ear infection...poor girl!

Yep...she's a mess! Taken Nov. 16

We love our cute Kenna Beth!

Kenna was cracking me up during bath time last week. She was sticking her face down in the water to drink/lick it...yep, I know that is gross, but when she'd put her head up, she would have a bubble beard...hilarious! Oh and no worries...after I got a pic, I stopped her from drinking the water!

Bridger's parties...

(Long post, so read what you want...mostly want to get it all down for journaling!)
Well, I am finally posting things from Bridger's birthday parties...a month later...oops! I've been a bad blogger lately, not really sure why though...I want to do better! Anyway, Bridger's birthday was a lot of fun this year! He is at a fun age where he understands a lot! On his actual birthday we let him open presents before Josh went to work. He got a cowboy costume which he still wears every day! He also got some cowboy guns, a stick horse, Woody, clothes, and books. For lunch we met up with Josh at work, which was fun...Bridger especially loved it because Josh showed him different things around the station. They even put Woody through the security scanner at the courthouse! After lunch, I headed up to Kaysville so that Bridger could have a Grams and Grandpa evening. They took him to dinner (pizza at Olive Garden) and then they went to Toys'r'us...Bridger already knew exactly what he wanted...Buzz Lightyear, so he passed by the millions of toys without stopping to look at any until he got Buzz! He's been very into Toy Story lately, so it was fun for him to have both Woody and Buzz! Bridger stayed the night at Grams and Grandpa's and then Grandpa brought him down the next morning.

My birthday is the day after Bridger's birthday, so it was birthday weekened extravaganza! On my birthday Josh and Mark got Christmas lights put up, I took Kenna to the doctor for an ear infection and then that evening we celebrated my birthday. I got a new cell phone...my old phone was almost 3 years old and had seen better days! I also got Photoshop Elements from the kids...excited about that! We then had dinner at Rumbi Island Grill...it was delicious! We hadn't eaten there for a very very long time...for whatever reason...so I decided we should go there again and it didn't dissappoint. Kenna especially loved the mac and cheese!

The following day was Bridger's family birthday party. We did a cowboy themed party, complete with cowboy decorations, cowboy music, cowboy beans and biscuits served in pie tins, and we had everyone come in their best cowboy/girl attire! It was such a fun theme! I made his birthday cake the night before and it took forever, as usual! I wasn't entirely pleased with how it turned out, but everyone liked it, especially Bridger! He received some great gifts, such as clothes, cowboy boots, Slink (the slinky dog from Toy Story), a little Buzz Lightyear, some fun odds and end toys, a BYU ball, cars, and more! It was a fun birthday party...then we geared up for the next day...the friend party (yes, I am crazy!)

We had just a few of his friends over for a party...I wasn't going to do a birthday party with friends for at least another year, but he misses all his friends so I thought we'd invite a few over. We had a great time with everyone here! It was fun to see Bridger "host" his friends! They also came dressed up as cowboys/girls...and all looked adorable! Each child got a cowboy hat, bandana, and sherriff badge...so they were official! We played pin the tail on the horse (donkey), cowboy, cowboy, Indian (duck, duck, goose) and Don't let the snake bite (hot potato). It took the kids a bit to catch on to some of the games, but it was fun nonetheless! After presents(he got some more fabulous gifts), cake and ice cream, the kids played some more and the party was over.

Whew...it was quite the birthday celebration...makes me tired all over again, just thinking about it! It was fun though and I think Bridger loved it, so it was all worth it! Still can't believe he's 4!

Sweet Baby Boy...

Minutes old...weighed 8 pounds 15 ounces, born at 3:47 am, 20 inches long
15 months old
2 years old
3 years old
4 years old

This post is super late, but my sweet baby Bridger turned 4 a few weeks ago...I can't believe he is 4! I am so thankful every day that he is a part of our family and that I get to be his mom. There is something about the first born, maybe because they make you a parent and you are learning so much with them. Nearly every day he tells me he's glad he's my son and I tell him I'm glad I'm his mom. I love his 20 year old conversations (that kid seriously cracks me up and amazes me!), I love how determined he is (even though sometimes he can be as rough and stubborn as can be), and I love that he is all boy! Happy birthday sweet Bridger!! We love you!
(P.S. I have a bunch more birthday posts to come!)

Bad blogger...

Hey all! I am a bad blogger lately...we actually just got a new computer and all of my pics are on my external hard drive and I have yet to hook it up, etc... So, that is on my list of things to do this week...in the mean time here are a few pictures of Bridger playing in the leaves that Uncle Neil took...super cute! Also, Kenna's latest...she says "baaa" for a sheep, and also has said "puppy" a couple of times...she's growing so fast!
