Halloween Better Late Than Never
Sorry this has taken me so long to post, the last three weeks have been a bit, shall we say painful for me. For those that haven't herd I have been in and out of the hospital with sever pain in my back and side. The diagnosis being kidney stones to Hydronephrosis witch is the way the baby sits inside me it is pinching the track from my kidney to bladder, to finally today we got a straight answer I passed a very large kidney stone. It was the size of the end of my pinkie. The doctor was shocked I passed it. I am feeling so much better today and I pray that things will continue that way through these last few weeks of pregnancy. The baby is still in a breech position so there is a chance I will have to have a c-section but I am going to not stress about that till it gets closer. The doctor said I should do cartwheels. Well enough about me. This year Alex was a knight after our trip to Las Vegas and seeing the show with the knights he was really excited to be a knight and slay the dragons.
Trick-Or-Treating with cousins at grandma and grandpa's trunk or treat.
Alex's pumpkin, he was so excited about painting it and being able to carry it to the porch. He also helped pick it out when we went to Pumpkin Land with his neighbor friends, they all had so much fun.

Our Las Vegas Trip
In August we drove out to Las Vegas and met Tony's family for a family vacation. We stayed at this great hotel just off the strip. It had a fun island feel to it. Even the pool had a sandy beach going down into the pool. Everyone picked an event they wanted to do Tony and his sister chose indoor skydiving.
Tony's dad loves Nascar racing and they have this company that will let you drive a real race car and do laps around the track. He did 8 lap and was able to get up to about 120mph.
My favorite this was the show Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur hotel. It is a great dinner show full of knights, jousting, sword play and acrobatics. It is all set in medieval times with a fun story, you even have to eat with your hands. Alex loved the show. Every time we passed the hotel he would beg to go see the knights, horses and the wizard in the castle.
That helmet is Alex's souvenir so that he could be a knight also.

Splash Pad
This is Alex's cousin they were having so much fun splashing and covering the fountains. The funniest part of this video is all the men in the background. Apparently it tool all six guys to put that sign on the railing. I had a good laugh watching them all consult each other.

Fun in the sun, Make-belive, and Baking.
This cardboard box became Alex's "Not A Box". He is really sitting in his boat. He sailed around the living room in it for about two weeks till it finally got tossed. We all had to watch out for the sharks that he was fending off. there was fishing and a great number of other adventures. It is amazing what a cardboard box and a wonderful imagination can do.
I don't know why but he really wanted to sit in his truck.
When I was young I remember baking with my mom and having so much fun. I have always loved making cookie. My favorite is my aunts chocolate chip cookie recipe. Alex has shown some interest in helping me make food so I decided to make cookies together. Of course there was sugar and flour everywhere but we had a blast, and everyone knows the best part of making cookies is eating the dough.

Alex is Two!

It is hard to believe that I have a two year old, and oh what a joy he is. Alex turned two on June 1st and we had a Birthday party for him on that sunday before. With the room filled with family and friends Alex put on a perfect show. His cusins love to creat thier own gifts they were so cute, Emma made a dinisor out a a rock and after opening all the other gifts he thought that was what he needed to do and couldn't figure out how to open the rock and then for some reason tried to eat it. I wish I could know what goes through childrens minds sometimes.
I took a lot of vidoe to share with those who couldn't be a the party and I have posted them at http://picasaweb.google.com/Jaskowickpics

Where have we been the last two weeks?
The first week we were in Ohio visiting with Tony's family and attending Tony's good friend's wedding. Alex had the greatest time getting to know his Nanna, Grandpa Ed, and Aunt Amy better. We all had such a good time playing games, seeing family we don't see very often, and the coolest indoor water park. To see all our photos and videos from the Ohio trip visit http://picasaweb.google.com/Jaskowickpics
These are all the guys in the wedding party showing off their "Transformer" cuff links. For this group of guys this was probably the coolest part of the wedding.
This was the coolest water slide I have ever seen. It has been the nicknamed the toilet, and that is really how it works. To start you would slide in a tub that would get you going for speed then you continue down the tub at the top of the picture and into the big bowl. You swirl around a few times and when you slow down enough you fall through the hole a few feet to a pool below. oh it is so fun.
The Second week we met my whole family in Vail Colorado. My parents have a time share that lets us visit some great places. We had a great time visiting with my brother Todd and his family they came all the way up from Texas. The mountains are so beautiful up there, a lot of the guys went bike riding most of the days. The girls got to go out to lunch and enjoy time together and with out kids. Alex's older cousins are so wonderful I barely had to watch him at all. Vail had some of the funnest parks for the kids, a favorite was the pirate ship. The hotel also had a lot of activities for the younger children they had a really good time making bouncy balls and playing in the foam (which was just shaving cream but a big hit). We had such a good time but after all that traveling we a glad to be home.
My wonderful parents and the beautiful view of Vail.

Easter
I was excited for this Easter since Alex is starting to understand the fun of holidays. I have always enjoyed the jelly bean hunt my family would do on Easter morning. Tony's family would do a scavenger hunt for their baskets. So this year I thought I would do a combination and maybe start our own traditions. I took jellybeans and chocolate eggs and made a trail from Alex's bedroom down the stairs, around the living room, and into the Kitchen where his basket was. In my mind I envisioned him acting more lively than he did. You know as most children would when there is tons of candy in front of them. Well, Alex is more meticulous than I thought. Instead of gathering the candy fast and wanting to see what was a the end, he gathered each piece one by one and put them in his basket. It was taking so long that half way down the stairs I thought I should clean up some of the candy to make the trail shorter. I have loved making these memories with Alex. He really lights up my days. The video is of our Easter morning and yes it is the whole thing from bedroom all the way to basket and bunny's, it is about 10 mins long.
What do you get when you mix the jumping Alex and a fun musical Easter card?

Spoiled?
Have you ever wondered at what point you have spoiled you child to much? Well after you watch this video I think that you will agree Alex has had way to much chocolate milk. I opened the fridge to get his sippycup with milk and well he found the chocolate syrup container. I told him that he couldn't have any so he grabbed the container with both arms tightly around it and took off. I asked for it back a few times and got a very stern No. At that I thought I should get the camera. It was hard not to laugh at him, he was acting like Golum and his ring.

Hello to our Ohio Family
Here is a video especially for Nana and family.
I put this video in so you can see Alex being silly. We are pretty lucky he said anything at all since he was eating chocolate. Usually that has priority.
Spring is Finally here!
We have been just itching to get outside and play. Now that it is warm we are out all the time. Alex and I love to sit on the front porch play and hang out with our neighbors. That is one good thing about living in town houses we have a lot of good neighbors close enough to hang out on our porches. We are also grateful to live so close to a park. Alex and I like to walk to the Orem city park. The last time we were there Alex got really brave and wanted to go down the biggest slide at the park and he did it all by him self. He is really getting big. Here are some pictures and videos of our time outside.

Hip Hop
For the last 6 months or so I have been going to the Orem rec center in the mornings to work out. I don't know how I have been doing it but I have some how found the will to get up a 5:40 and get work out by 6:00. Aside from being tired I have really enjoyed the classes. The Thursday class is Turbo kick and is a really good workout, but Tuesday is the Hip Hop class I have really loved this because I don't fill like I am exercising. I love to dance so much and this has helped me find some enjoyment in the wows of exercising. Well in this class we learn little Hip Hop routines and the last few we have decided to perform them for our families and friends. Please no laughing we were told to dress up.

Christmas and Guitar Hero
Sorry this is not a very clear picture but it is Tony showing Alex the Christmas tree Christmas Eve. He was so interested in the lights. Yes our tree is only about 3 feet tall. This year was very fun since Alex understood what was going on a lot more. We all slept in on Christmas morning and then did our gifts. Then we went and had lunch and get together with my family, Even my grandma was able to come down. We played all day right through Alex's nap and when we got home he just crashed on the couch about 5 minuets after getting home and setting him down. It was a good day. To see videos and pictures of our Christmas go to- http://picasaweb.google.com/Jaskowickpics
Tony got the new Guitar Hero game that comes with a drum set and a mirophone. It has been a blast. Our friends Rachel and Josh were playing and Alex was really gettting into it to
Alex loves to play the drums all the time. The video is of Alex and Our friend Matt playing the guitar together.
