Disneyland Vacation - Day 1

In early January, Jarom and I decided that we really wanted to take the kids to Disneyland this year.  It had been about two and a half years since we had been there and we both felt that the kids, particularly the boys, were at a perfect age to really enjoy the attractions.  So, we planned a week-long vacation in which we would be renting a townhome just minutes from Disneyland.  We decided that it would be necessary to have one adult per child, so we invited my mom to come along with us.  On April 14th, we woke up at 5 AM, and started our journey to our first destination:  LAS VEGAS!

500 miles later, we finally made it to Sin City.  Since Jarom and I have stalker tendencies, we thought that it would be fun to track down all four of the Sister Wives' homes and hopefully, catch a glimpse of one of the wives or the children.  Robin's house was the first one that we found and although we didn't see anybody outside, we definitely recognized her van.

This is Christine's house which is about five houses down from Robin's.

Next, we found Janelle's home where we also spotted a familiar car...Kody's Lexus!  We also found Meri's house, but we were unable to get a decent picture of it as there were a lot of neighbors outside.

After stalking the Browns, we headed to the Strip to see if there were any kid-friendly activities for us to do.  We found Batman...

and Mario...

and even decided to take the kids into the chaotic and ever-so-crowded, M&M Factory.

Seeing the magnificent Bellagio Fountains and the beautiful gardens inside was a definite must as well.

Finally, we headed to our hotel, The South Point Casino, where we treated ourselves to a wonderful buffet and a little bit of gambling.

The first day was definitely exhausting, but we were so glad to be able to show the kids some of the amazing buildings and architecture that Las Vegas offers.

Easter 2012

For Easter this year, we decided to stay in Logan and have my brother, Tim (who is attending school at BYU), come up for the weekend.  The night before Easter, we let the kids color their own Easter eggs.  I'm definitely not a huge fan of the mess and the hours it takes to get the dye off of the countertops, but the kids have fun, so I'm willing to do it.

This picture was taken right after one of Sadie's eggs had cracked.  Needless to say, she was pretty upset about it.

The Easter Bunny definitely made an appearance at our house...

That night, Jarom made a delicious Easter meal for us and then we said our goodbyes to Tim.  The kids were so sad to see him go, but we're hoping that he can make another trip up soon.
