Katie and Adam see the sights...in FLORIDA!

Ages ago the lovely katie porter and her handy sidekick/boyfriend Adam came for a visit. Spring break woooo! It seriously was so fun! First on the list of things to do was eat some southern BBQ

Then we headed down to ORLANDO! We went to down town disney, magic kingdom and animal kingdom. Adam was a really great sport about going on all the rides since apparently they aren't his cup of tea!

It was blazing hot so one of our favorite rides was Kali River Rapids because you get wet!

This next shot cracks me up... Adam also went on the water ride but the splashes of water caught him in some straaaange places!

We looked terrible this day. oh well

Until their kid PHOTOBOMBED us on purpse!! SO FUNNY!

Katie also purchased a fancy pants camera so we had to go down to the beach to test it out!

Love this country. Such a privilege to live here and now raise my baby here. Special thanks to those families serving our country in the armed forces.
We celebrated with pancakes and then the beach,  dinner, and "fy-yuryurks" (Fireworks).

Fort matanzas

One Saturday in April we went down with our friends the Baxters to Fort Matanzas, it is just a little south of St. Augustine and was built to guard the river. It is just the tiniest little fort and while it was functioning it only had like 8-12 men at it. The best part about it all though is its...FREE!! You get to take this little boat over then walk around the fort. After that we headed over to the beach, which you can drive onto. However- I would not recommend it since the sand is like sugar and we watched  plenty of cars get stuck and this poor guy with a truck kept trying to help tow people out and they would just get stuck again!

 Miley's friend Brooklyn! She seriously loves her and whenever we drive into the complex the baxters are in she starts repeating Book bi book bi- I am still so suprised she can recognize roads and buildings. ( she also knows Jt's work and when we get on the street going into his work she starts shouting Dada!)

These pictures are from awhile ago, Miley was just beginning her journey in the climbing world and climbed up on her toy and couldn't get back down. I thought it was pretty hilarious :)
